That looks like the same windshield I have. Do those handguards hit the windshield at full turn? Everything in that pic looks good. Except the wood. That looks like work.

Semi rigid hand guards do not come anywhere near the shield. If they did I/we could pivot the bars back by adjusting at the base of the riser.... but not needed.
