Would that be the one with Fox Floats front and rear? If so that should be the Cat XTX version I think. I know I really like how my XTX rides for me.

- 2014 viper rtx
2006 apex rtx
That's what's getting me fed up with all the things that get blown so far outta proportion, it's scaring off potential buyers and making them think the viper is junk. If u want an amazing sled buy a 2015 rtx dx or ltx dx and ride it. It'll do exactly what u want!
Over the past year my inbox has gotten packed from people asking about all these little things I've done to free up the hp in the sled, many of which went right out and ordered the same exact parts I have on mine with great results. Without that info they very well may have had a bad experience with their viper and not have known what the cure is.
[My dealer now has sold a count of 24 2014 vipers, 1 out of all of them came back for warranty (muffler). They haven't heard a single complaint on the other 23.
your first quote talks about all the things getting blown out of proportion. then you suggest buying a viper because it will do exactly what you want.
Your second post states that your inbox is being packed with questions by people who possibly could have a bad experience with the viper "IF THEY HAD NOT FOUND THE CURE "
Your 3rd post says your dealer sold 24 sleds with only 1 complaint.
Maybe your dealer isnt hearing complaints but it certainly sounds like the people inboxing you are having problems.
why would these people have (in your words) a bad experience. Is the answer that the sled is lacking in performance?
I also ask you, how can there be a cure if there is no problem???
Why did so many people inbox you if there is no problem????
I know why.
Ahhhhhh Houston, we have a problem!!

No, floats up front, zero pros in the rear. They're identical to the viper ltx se. Except the cat uses the true fox zero pros, the yamaha is a different version on the shocks

why can't there be a yamaha 4 stroke that is just good out of the box that doesn't need to be monkeyed with till the end of days? in the process of selling my apex xtx and wanted a xf 7000 or viper but now having 2nd thoughts. may have to look at going back to ski-doo. when i had my 2010 mxz 800 i did nothing but ride that sled and it rode good, handled good, ran good and heck even was good on gas. only sold it because i want the 4 stroke longevity but at what cost do you get that longevity? If i were to go viper/xf7 it seems like it would be just like my nytro or apex a big project. I am just torn on what to do go yama-cat or try a doo 1200 or go back to a 800 smoker.
The Viper sled is fine. The Apex was fine I have 12K on a 06. We, the TYrs are just a picky group willing to upgrade nearly anything for nearly any reason. Dont take that to mean the sleds are a 'project'.
THe 2015 vipers should have the first year ECU hot start problem fixed the trihub thing is real but over blown, dont see that much on AC site. The few who had antifreeze or gas leaks were again real but few.
I am personally really looking forward to my 2015 Viper LTX DX.

Previous Yamaha's. 2007 Attak 4500 miles. 2009 Nytro XTX 4900 miles.
Viper has been a great sled for me. Really no issues in 2800 miles except for the hot restart issue once in a while.
Checked chain tension twice. First time chain was 3 turns loose. Was ok after.
Sled has a fair amount of push in the corners. Hoping Curve skis will fix that next season.
Top end power lacks in loose snow conditions. On hard pack will reach 100 no problem.
I am sure my MBRP can, teflon slides, and extra wheels will add to the top end.
Never had any belt problems. But I have a Hauck clutch kit.
Ran the 8JP pretty much the whole season. Changed belt at 1600 miles.
Tried the 8DN belt for a couple of hundred miles. Maybe noticed a couple of mph gain.
But snow conditions really affects this sled.
Suspension seemed to have gotten soft near the end of the season.
Items/changes for next season:
Curve skis
MBRP can
Teflon slides
4th wheel kit
Rebuild shocks
Air box mod
