ZZ Top & Sidewinder clutch offset

OK, i know you guys are saying "how the hell is this nut job going to relate these 2?".
Give me a minute & you'll find out how the inner workings of an obsessed summer time snowmobiler works.

I went to see ZZ Top & John Fogarty in concert at the local casino last night.
While watching Billy Gibbons make his Gibson SG sing, i was reminded of seeing them in 1988.
They started the concert back then with a huge King Tut face snorting a sheet up it's nose, obviously mimicking the use of an illegal party drug of the day that resembles SNOW.
Well that made me think of.....SNOW!
Then i started wondering what i have to do when i get my sled back & that led me to thinking about getting my clutch turned down to adjust offset.
Then i couldn't think of anything else except my stupid #*$&@ clutch until they played "Tush".

Well, thinking of a girls hind end will squelch my love for snowmobiling on a short term basis, this story proves that i may actually have OCD.

100 years of music including one that played at Woodstock with the actual Rickenbacker he was using, and i was thinking about snowmobiles.
I think MrSled needs to start a new section called: Idiotslikesteve

Steve - it's ok, you're not alone. Summer has started here in MN and even while backpacking this last weekend on the North Shore, just me, my pack, my trusty dog, and the serene wilderness, what was going through my mind? Snowmobiling of course. I'm likely one of the few crazies (like you) that still log on TY nearly everyday during the Summer wishing there was more being discussed.

As a side note - I just got my secondary back from a local machine shop - had 2.5mm shaved off the shaft so I can get my offset as low as 87.5mm.

count me as one of the crazies!! I start reading threads about sleds I don't even have Phazers Vipers even MP's. I even get desperate enough to participate in the word thread once in a while.... it truly is an addiction.

Yes they played Pearl Necklace.
My 15 year old son didn't believe the song was what i told him it was about until Billy Gibbons admitted it WASN'T about jewelry.
