anyone know if it is possible that this would be user error? Im really hoping it is mechanical failure and Yammy will help me out on this. I ride the sled hard, but keep it maintained and have never heard of this happening before.

Sorry guys, didnt mean to leave you hanging on the update with my sled. Been a crazy 2 weeks with starting a new job and stuff. But just got a call from the boys at Force One today and turns out that I dropped all three exhaust valves, they hit the pistons and sheared some teeth off the drive...
Hey sorry, its been -50C here for the last week! so I havent had a chance to do anything with the sled, Saturday I will bring it into the shop and see if i can find anything. Was also wondering about the warranty on the motor, is it 2 years?
Sure thing,
Its a 2006 Nytro ER, All the electronics are stock except a new highbeam switch I put in. Ill be bringing it into the garage tomorrow to have a look at it.

I'm very frustrated atm! Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen:
I was riding across an open lake at ~100km/h and the engine all of a sudden just stopped. There was no sputtering, loud noises, bangs or clanks. I thought I may have hit the kill switch, but nope. Went to go start it...
I love the 136" on this sled, it goes anywhere. I think it rides better in the rough trails stretched and get it in the ditch and it cant get stuck, unless you hang it on a tree.
I have only done a visual inspection of the bolts on my sled and they all seem to be seated, Have 700km on the skid.
Lol do you live in Yellowknife too! We dont have the rivers, but when it gets down to -30 -40C with a good wind the drifts on the lakes are exactly the same, Have to stand while...
Well, I went straight to the mid mark as that is the way I had my other skid set up. But I love the way it is handling so far, our trails are by far some of the worst in Canada. Corners like it is on rails, but it is a bit harder to steer.
Well I have bottomed it out a few times, but on 8' to...
Acutally by pulling up the limiter straps you are putting more pressure on the front skis. I Ride mine with the limiter strap at medium for an agressive riding style.

I find that you sit a little to far back on the nytro, I am currently trying to get my hands on a riderforward conversion kit to bring the steering column forward. But thats just me, I imagine it would feel close to your MXZ. As for the differences between the two, he apex is on a new chassis...
I have had the same problem when I go to start it up sometimes. They usually come on after the sled finishes warming up or I just turn it off and back on again. Not sure why it happens tho
Heh yeah I got the Whal 8t No slips and had to grind off the stud guards covering the front cooler and the exhaust. As for clearance its pretty tight, I can just get my hand in there.
Griz I am currently running a 136x2" Challenger under a ZX2 skid in my Nytro and I have not had any issues. Its pretty tight under there, but aslong as it isnt really loose I havent noticed any rubbing. Ill post some pics tonight for you to check it out.
