    Belly Protector ??

I just had the stock Yamaha one installed. It's impressive, thick, well made.

    ski pressure

While the Bergstrom's do cost more, they last a lot longer so the price is competitive in the long run. I keep hearing this. Mine were/are pretty shot looking after one season. The side carbides are 100%, but the center one is well worn. My friends just swap them every year. How do I...

Rage Owners What can you tell me about this sled?

Are there big differences from 05 to 06? Monoshock rear skid rather than the 05's proaction 11mm front sway bar, rather than the '05s 10mm. ($60 upgrade). I like my Rage. I'm still trying to get it dialed in. But the ride of the 136" track was great when I demoed it back to back with...

Vector Vs. Rage Ride and handling

I rode both at a Yamaha demo day. It might have just been the trail bumps being just the right width for the 136" track to bridge. The Rage was much smoother than the Vector.

    No Studs Suggest Carbide Size

Well, I must say that I've not had any problems with sore arms and 6" Bergstrom's triple points. And it's hard to impossible to get the rear of the sled loose. I think I'm going to try the 7.5" shapers. Worst case, I go back to the bergstrom's which probably have plenty of life left. Oh, I...

    No Studs Suggest Carbide Size

I've got the same question, not for my wife, but for myself. I've got 6" on my Rage now, I'm thinking about the 7.5" shapers for this season. What are the pros/cons of too much or too little?

    Bergstrom Skegs - phone disconnected?

Come to think of it, I did not see him at the Grayslake show. That is a smaller show, but from Rockford it is not a big cruise. Aw crap. When was that? I *LIVE* in Grayslake, and a show would have been a nice fix until the snow flys. :(

    Rage for sale ?

Stormchaser, The area/market has a lot to do with it. I did buy mine from near Minneapolis. I think what is being offered is just an idea of what market value is. It's an internet forum, you'll get a lot of info from around the country. If you think you know the value, post it for sale, put...

Stopped by the dealer to ask about SUSPENSION set up

Yamaha engineers and tech guru's claim that the suspension works incredibly well and it needs to be set up correctly. He copied me a few pages from the update book Care to share what was said? Did it just cover the Vector? Or just adjustment in general?

new 05 Rage blubbery off idle

My 05 Rage is pretty crisp off idle when run in the winter. Might be the temps, it's pretty warm right now. Also I got mine used, so I can't speak for the first few miles.

    4 or 6" (carbide!)

Anyone have any issues with the Bergstrom ski savers? Mine broke apart of the front basically making a big "Y" shape. I removed them on the trail. Wondering what I did wrong, or if I even really need em.

    Pull start a R.S.?

produce 420 Watts at 5000 R/min But much less at idle. I could see if you had all the grip warmers on and all that the sled not being able to sustain itself.

    Pull start a R.S.?

didn't use the hand and thumb warmers or heated shield it may be able to keep up. When it wouldn't keep up did you have all this going?

    Battery Charger

If you have noticed that white plug by your battery extension cables by your oil tank, it plugs in there slick as a whistle. Something like $52. There is supposed to be a plug already there? I used my Deltran Battery tender, and had to gain access to the battery to install the...

    Blew belt at 300 miles?

He is talking about the top of the belt missing, Not flat spotting it on the sides. That's EXACTLY what mine did, and my friends rental did. I could snag a picture.

    2950 miles on vector

How does the primary look? Mine seems glossy, which I'd expect given what it does. But it also has a small ridge or groove near the center.. Not sure if that's normal.

    Speed of Rage?

It's worth a shot. Bypassing TORS just disables the switch in the throttle-thumb. If that bit wasn't working the sled wouldn't rev anywhere near 8k.
