I think the 6" carbides are best for a non-studded Phazer. I love the 6 inchers on the trail. However, I got stuck on a sheet of ice!! The new carbides bit into the ice and the non-studded track just spun. I looked like an idiot trying to get unstuck on glare ice with a snowmobile. When I...
I had 700 miles on my Phazer FX before installing the 4 wind deflectors. I think it is $20 for the upper set and $40 for the lower set. $60 total.
I have never had a problem with the wind. Even with the "ultra low" windshield, the wind deflectors certainly made the trails more enjoyable...

Hey guys,
Don't want to insult, but maybe you are not riding hard enough? My tunnel gets packed with ice occasionally when riding powder, but after a few hard jumps it all falls out. ;)!
It sounds silly, but it has always worked for me. Just take a few small jumps and the ice falls...
After about 70 miles, my FX stopped smelling hot and started sounding better. Just got another 8 inches in the UP, so I hope to finally get some seat-time.
