Hi Guys, I Was able to test ride a Phazer FX a few days ago. My sled is a Yamaha Attak. The Attak is the best sled I have ever driven. I liked alot of things about the Phazer nice sound, Great power for a 500 4 stroke WOW!!! very fun sled BUT!! The vibration in the handlebars at trail speeds of 40MPH on up was just nasty. The engine was very smooth at slower speeds but under more throttle it got very harsh. What gives? Yamaha has ALWAYS had super smooth machines. I was thinking about getting a mountian lite to use when the snow gets to deep for the Attak but not until they smooth out these engines. Maybe I have been just plain spoiled by the Attak. Have any of you guys found ways to reduce this vibration?

Yes, almost none at all.
Should have seen the handlebars of this SkiDoo 1000 that was idling beside me on the trail. It was a good inch of rattle on his.
Maybe you had a clutch balance / weight problem?

So you guys don't feel that vibration at high speeds? Maybe this is a problem with his sled. I do remember reading a review in one of the sled magazines that stated the vibration levels at high speeds were unacceptable. I think what I will do is try another phazer and see how they compare. I really like the sled.

I remember this was mentioned from everyone that tested the "prototype" phazer last winter. I can feel that engine are running but but its no problem for me.
But then again, what you consider as nasty may be smoot to others

if you're used to the attack it probably is noticable. Nothing big overall compared to the 2 strokes. Just the nature of the beast with the twin.

Being completly honest here, and not just saying this cause I bought a Phazer, but the vibration is a non-issue with my sled. Not even close. I bet there's something wrong with that one.

Doesnt bother me a bit either. I cant figure out what everyone is complaining about.

Did not notice any vibration. Though it does at idle vibrate a little more than my Attak did. Nothing close to what my buddies 2 strokes do.

Doesn't Vibrate any more than my 95 XCR 600, but then again, I'm not sure there is anything that vibrates more (cept a single holer)
Actually its pretty smooth.

OK ! I am for sure going to try another phazer out. I have been riding yamaha for so long that maybe my idea of vibration is out of wack. My 700 mountian max was silky, than an rs rage, same thing, now the attak that is also smooth. My brother tried the same Phazer fx and he rides a Ski Doo summit. He also noticed the vibration when laying on the throttle its like the engine is pulsing through the bars at a much lower freqency than a twin 2 smoke makes. The reason it even makes any differance is that I have carpal tunnal in both hands and need my sleds very smooth in the bars.
