I put 144 in mine and no problems, 96 in the wifes and no problems. (LTX as well) Cant find anywhere that the studs are close to hitting. Both sleds appear to have some kind of tunnel protectors built in.

That is funny, I hear a really high pitched noise every once in a while that I couldnt tell where it was coming from. I thought that it was coming from my Viper but by the time i could check it out, it quit. Mine seems to last for around 5 seconds. never heard it on my wifes.

Cant believe this, just pulled my primary from my 18 Viper for the first time to clean the primary for the season and the bolt is bent at the threads. I dont really think it would affect anything since the crank is tapered and the primary taper should keep everything lined up. Still thinking...

Made 1 last trip to the UP and have around 850 miles on it now. Crossed the lake coming in and it hit 96, I think it would have kept gaining but I was out of room. I think it just need to loosen up a little. Makes me feel a lot better. Should at least run with the wife nowLaLaLa

I think I hit the 9000 rpm when I took off from the stop since when I was running WOT on ice I never saw over 8750 rpm. The 9000 RPM was on the recall function.

I did end up reading over 9000 rpm one day but didnt really gain any speed. My wifes has been maxing around 8750-8850 rpm. I have not swapped belts between the two yet. (Hoping for another ride this year) I will be looking for clutch parts this summer.

18 Viper Ltx, Never made any suspension adjustments yet do to still breaking in suspension, Have aprox 600 miles on sled, getting ready to do some adjustments to see if anything changes even though I am very fairly happy with it. (it does not rail like my SXViper, yet)

I rec you toe them out a little further (1/2) total. I went with slim jims and absolutley no darting. I never ran the carbides that came with them.

If yours came with washers, I would re-use all factory parts the fit inside of the ski. Bushings from curve mounted on the inside of the ski. It might just be a difference between years of sleds.(mine had tuner III's) I would not want them loose. (figured when you tighten them down they would...

Mine did not have washers on each side of the spindle, just one shim to change the ski stance. I do not know how you could get the washers inside of the ski saddle and the spindle as tight as mine were. The sled handled like it was on rails with slim jims. Everyone that followed me commented on...

I figured the price listed on the curve website is MSRP. Just like buying a new sled, you can usually do better than MSRP. If this design ski works as good as the reviews I have seen, I figure I would be very happy. I am running slim jims on mine. I will report back after this week on the ride...

I will try to check that out, I will be out working on it again tomorrow night.

I cannot tell a difference between the 15' and the 18' spring. So I doubt they put the dual rate in.
