After looking at the 2010 rear suspension, is it possible to take a few of the components that allow for the floats from a 2010 and turn the 08 into a 2010 rear? After looking at it for a while, it doesn't seem like it would be too bad and probably less expensive than a timbersled or kmod...
I am quite new to the gearing and clutching you have to do to these mountains to get them to perform at sea level since this is my first mountain, but I was just wondering if changing the gearing alone will be enough to bring the RPM's down to a reasonable level, or is the clutching something...
Ok, so I put on a Yosh.. I love it but now I'm hitting the rev limiter...bad. I've always avoided doing my own clutching because of how involved it is but I was just wondering if someone could tell me how hard it is to add weight to the primary on a stock clutch? And how much? Any help is...
Ok, so I figured I was going to have to have it re-clutched down to lower RPS and after riding it today I'm positive that's the problem. I was easily hitting 9400 even as soon as 3/4 throttle. I've always avoided to my own clutching because of how involved it is but I was just wondering if...
So a lean spot would make somewhat of a popping noice when going full throttle? I didn't really notice it before I put the pipe on but then again, maybe the pipe just enhances the sound of it. Or then again, with the added hp of the pipe, maybe I'm hitting the limiter now and I have to weight it...
I loved your idea with the yosh so much so that I did it too on my MTX. One quick question I had for you though, I know the gearing and stuff is different on the MTX compared to the RTX but I was just wondering if you ran into any popping noises when giving it WOT. I ran it for the first time...
WOW... I really hope they didn't ruin it for the rest of us who love staying there... Pat's a great guy and the cabin is so convenient and a great place to stay. Hopefully our reservations for the 14th are still available...did he say anything about that?
About 7 minutes into today's sledhead 24/7 they did a review on the XTX then showed a blurred out view of another new sled for 09 calling it "another powersurge model for 2009."
Just wondering if anyone saw the part on sledhead 24/7 about the new 2009 model... From the neme they gave it, possibly a Nytro Race Replica?

I've got em on my 04, i was thinking about getting the toe a little bit higher too but i have yet to do so and i've been running them for 2 years now... Other than going through 4 carbides instead of 2 in about the same amount of time and dropping 150 to replace them all...I love em
I've got the same problem with my 04 RX-1 with the Hauck GYT-R-Dun kit, I was racing a 800H.O. trying to really get on it and my track was ratcheting like crazy. I have really been contemplating buying a fully clipped rip saw so i can put in anti ratchet drivers for this year to get rid of that...
I raced a 800H.0. last year and it was a really close race but I got him by a few sled lengths. I believe he was running at least an aftermarket exhaust and silencer..whatever else he had, I'm not sure. If it wasn't for the Hauck GYT-R-DUN kit i have installed on mine...I probably wouldn't have...
I have run the precisions on my rx-1 for a year now. The only comparison i can make is to the stock skis on my friend's rx-1. The precision skis are a world of difference better than stock yami's. As for comparing them to the simmons...couldn't really tell you but i was looking at the price when...
I TOTALLY AGREE! THE HAUCK EXHAUST IS AWESOME..I PUT MINE ON BEFORE THE SEASON LAST YEAR AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANY COMPLAINTS...ONLY COMPLIMENTS! AS FOR POWER INCREASE, IT IS DEFINATELY NOTICEABLE..I'VE NEVER DROVE MY SLED STOCK BUT I KNOW IT WILL PULL AWAY FROM A STOCK RX-1 VERY EASILY. IF YOU'RE...
To tell you the truth, I installed everything but the clutching... I let my dealer do the clutching...and so far so good...it got me past a piped, clutched, 800 H.O. last year...and the F7 wasn't even a contest! 132 on the dreammeter too! :yam:
I have the gyt-r-dun on my rx-1. I got the kit before last year and LOVE IT! I have the center studded also and haven't had any problems with it as long as you rivet slides to the already existing tunnel protection. That way the studs aren't long enough to reach the exhaust down the center. As...
