I got rid of my inside ski list by lowering the front suspension and adjusting the transfer rod. Raise front end off ground. loosen the front spring preload until the spring rattles, then tighten one turn. Lower sled. Front a-arm should be close to level with the ground. I went 2 clicks up...
I know it sounds crazy, but I noticed a difference. Not that it was faster but it just ran better. quicker throttle response. raised the rpms quicker. i figured that if i could get a couple hp for 25 bucks, why not.
I just changed mine today. First thing I did was soak the rail with wd-40 to hepl break them loose. Undid the screw up front, used a hammer and screwdriver to pound the slides right out the back. I did have to trim a little bigger opening in the track window to get them out. Had them both...
Not sure about Baldwin, but did ride from Evart to Reed City and then north to Cadillac on Thurs. The trail was an absolute 10+++ It could use more snow but 99% was perfect. It was groomed Wed night and we were the first on it Thurs morning. It had set up real tight. I'm sure the trails...
Once you get the sled to stay flat in the corners, then you can play with the compresion and rebound clickers to suit your own riding style as to how they soak up the bumps. Like bbjorklund99 said, stock settings are pretty close. Enjoy the sled.
You need to take the pre load off your springs. Lift the sled off the ground and loosen the ring on the shock tube until the spring will rattle. Then tighten one turn. This will lower the front of the sled. You want your front a-arms just about level for the best cornering. Try this set up...
Looking for a way to paint my low chrome windscreen to gloss black. I did a search for painting windshields and the results all mostly said to paint the inside of a windshield. This would work great on a clear one, but my chrome one is already painted on the inside. Do you think painting the...
Just finished installing a decal set from these guys. Very nice product. Bought the install kit and those products worked great also.
If you want your sled to stand out in a crowd, I would highly recommend these guys.
RTX might be a bit stiff for you unless you like to tackle the rough stuff, plus 5g's sounds like the sled may have been abused. My choice would be between the new 07 GT and the 08 LTX. LTX would give you a better ride both on groomed trails the abilty to take it off trail a little. Given...
Took a look at my secondary clutch today after reading a post on here and someone mentioned that the proper belt height should be 1.5mm above the top of the secondary. Mine is at least 1/16" below the top. Will this cause any problems and how do I fix it? The sled has 1400 miles and it is the...
Well, took everyones advice (majority rule) and put in a set of the silverstar ultras. $49 at auto zone, regular siverstars were $37. Part numbers were #9003 for the standard and #9003 or H4 for the ultras. Cant wait to try them at night. Sure are alot brighter white than the stock.
I have the 07 Apex GT, no engine or clutch mods(yet). Was out today with it. When nailing it from a dead stop and idle there is a very noticable hesitation before the rpms jump. almost like it dumps too much fuel and bogs it down. Then, when it reaches 10,000 +/- rpm's there is another...
