someone please help, i got those rox handguards with the APEX SPECIFIC mounts and can not get them to fit right, it is driving me nuts, they eaither sit to far away from bars or to low, i am very frustrated with these and are about to return them, also they do hit low windsield

Not sure about Rox, but on the Yamaha accessory handguards for my '06 Attak, I had to heat up the mounts and bend them for proper placement.

I had the same problem w/ROX billet mounts, they look real cool but don't work the @#$%, I ended up ordering the POWERMADD'S you will see that they fit much better than the ROX, you just have to move the throtle and brake over about 5/8" and fit on the bars...

Now I'm talking of '07 or '08, '06 have different handle bars...(APEX/ATTAK)

yea i should of known better, the rox ones are garbage, besides the fact that thet dont fit right, how the h--- is a little set screw going to hold these things to the bars at 75+ mph, i cant wait to call rox tomorrow they are going to get an ear full. junk do not buy

I installed the ROX last year on my 07 gt. Took some time to get them positioned right. Left side over top, right side from below. Also had to slide them out as far as you could to get them to cover my hands. They BARELY clear my low windscreen. Havent had any problems with the set screws.

on the left hand side I had to install the mount so the bracket set on top of the bar, other wise the billet mount would hit the brake line. The right hand side I had to install the bracket from the under side of the bar. I can post a picture later today if it would help

I installed the Powermadd's w/ROX Billet Mounts on my Attak and they look great. If you tighten the bolt enough -- it will hold!

But I had to go purchase a larger (1/4 by 6 inch length) size screw. It comes with a 3 1/2 inch screw, but with that they won't extend out far enough. The 6 inch screw made them perfect!

I think these look the best, so I made them fit. I also have the mirrors and the extensions, which work sweet!
