If he has an aftermark exhaust - ala Skinz Ultra/Super Q (GYTR) the trun out is part of the exhaust and is not just a rivited on accessory - this is why I said, "hack it off".
If your question is, "does it have to stay on to have the exhaust function as it should," then the answer is NO. Hack it off, the turn out has no factor in the exahust performance.
The biggest reason is to allow for the rear of the sled to be more functional, specifically on the longer track sleds - hot exhaust pouring out on a tunnel bag or gas cans is not exactly a good idea.
Anyone know any tricks to get the Yamaha white tunnel stickers off? I had theheat on for 30minutes plus applying direct heat with a hair dryer. When trying to pull it off only the clear "coating" came off and now I am stuck peeling off the white portion in tiny pieces at a time. Is goo-gone the...
Phyxius74,
I am digging it man! That is a nice looking Nytro. Very simple and tastefully done. Great overall execution with the "muted" graphics and "murdered" look.
Yeah, I got everything apart and the shocks are off to be re-valved. I didn't notice the set screw in the spacer. I still think its sill to have to remove all of that to get the shock out.
One thing I will say for my Nytro, they torque the crap out of nuts and bolts or use red loctite!
I...
Okay, newb question I am sure. I don't have my manual available and cannot get the bottom bolt out of the shock/bracket. It appears you have to remove the idlers which I am struggling with as well. Any help?! I have removed skids/shocks before but I am irritated to no end here.
In my opinion in order to get the Nytro to carve removing the sway bar is probably a requirement. I haven't tried removing mine but I felt that the Nytro likes to sit flat (track and both skis on the ground). Unless you have infinite snow, any resistance at all to the inside ski in the carve...
hmm . . . my mounts don't look like the ones pictured. Mine have an L shapped bracket at the front and back of the mount which "hold" the rubber in place. This bracket is EXACTLY as big as the rubber which doesn't allow you to move to the front hole...unless, like SJ said, I can some how move...
How in the H$LL are you guys able to mount the bolt in the front most hole? It took everything I could do to get them to mount in the center hole. The stock rubbers just wont line up to allow it. The rubbers are absolutel jammed to fit inside the angled aluminum pieces.
