Best 144 skid for a Nytro?

XTX skid is terrible with a capital T, and I like messing with my suspension. After countless attempts to improve it because of hyfax wear, limitor strap issues and just lack of performance I ended up putting an EZ-ryde under mine. Just need to get it tuned in, I'm selling my stock one if...

How can I make my XTX "more" mountain worthy?

How can I make my XTX "more" mountain worthy?

That roll over valve is a must anywhere in my opinion. Yamaha should be paying Bill for that you dump your oil in the wrong place good luck finding some plus you'll end up dead heading a piston liquid doesn't compress.... yikes. Thanks again for that Bill

How can I make my XTX "more" mountain worthy?

I agree with everything mrtwostroke is suggesting and I might even think about about a two wheel kit for the back axel get them both inside your rails. I moved both of mine in and lightened up my center shock and that was an unbelievable change in ridability. It allowed me to throw it around...

    Help with XTX

Put a two wheel kit on the back and get rid of the three they act like outriggers doing this was the biggest improvement I've made and trust me I've done alot. Let out your limiters a hole and lighten your front shocks, this takes off ski-pressure. If you want more lighten your skid frame...

WHY DO I SEE SO MANY NYTRO'S FOR SALE?

Needs lots of adjusting if you want it to ride right. Then you get it to ride right and it has lots of issues with hifax wear and limiter straps wearing out and breaking. If your not one to mess with things I wouldn't do it, if you are and get it right it's a blast

and there goes the LIMITER STRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I called Yamaha on this and they acted like they didn't even know about this.... whatever, tired of the hifax wear too. I know this sounds stupid but it helped my limiters alot. On the first two inches on each end I put gorilla tape, I think what it has done is made the limiters bend in...

    XTX powder set-up

I think you'll get lots of opinion here. I ride mine probably 90% offtrail, probably don't have the snow you do. I guess it matter's what feeling you want to. Mine felt incredibly heavy backing off all the shocks helped a ton, especially your center shock. Than I was able to get it to side...

Looking at buying a Nytro have questions?

Love this sled personally I have never ridden anything that has this kind of torgue and response. Would not worry about the engine at all. I have heard a few things regarding ball joints and i don't think that is a major concern. I've also heard yamaha will replace them once at no charge...

    xtx suspension settings

Amen htlo1r!! Cannot believe anyone would want to make this thing harder, your killing yourself if you do. I can't get the suspension soft enough but i don't ride on the trials either. I got the feeling i'm after now but it kills hi-fax in a hurry 4th set in 2000 miles and thats in deep snow...

    XTX FOX Floats

Yeah... but you know what I was messing around with the other day that really really lightened the front end was those control rods in the back of the sled. Doesn't take much either, if you back them off it takes way transfer. Check out your manual I think it's the last page covering...

    XTX FOX Floats

Way better sled with them, depending on what you want to do and how you ride. My XTXwas night and day after putting them on

Ordering a 1.75" Backcountry track for my Nytro XTX

Anyone have pics of installed Yamaha Windsheild bags?

Skinz makes a tunnle bag that sits behind the exhaust just need a turn out tip for your exhaust so you don't burn it. Looks cool again doesn't hold much... note is not water proof I've been spraying a campdry on it and that helps

Anyone have pics of installed Yamaha Windsheild bags?

You don't even notice then at all so I really wouldn't be concerned about what it looks like. I'm very picky on mine and it doesn't bug me at all, however they don't hold crap. But I suppose something is better than nothing. A phone, maybe a GPS or a bottle of pop... that's it

XTX owners!! Want a new option in storage?

I have one that fits sweet with a small turnout on your exhaust. I want to say by skinz. But ditto find me a low profile tunnle bag that's waterproof and I'd buy

Oil in my Airbox 09 Nytro XTX

Has anyone had this issue? If I get my sled upside down it runs oil from the sump into my airbox and ultimatly ends up deadheading a piston. Clean up isn't fun, oil's expensive and finding enough oil in the middle of a ride is hard. I'd like to get that re-routed and possibly even intall a...
