I bought what I think is called a nut cert. You can find them at Menards home depot ect. They are with the rivet guns. It is like a rivet but allows you to thread a bolt in the center of the rivet. They work great!

I am looking at a 05 rage for my wife and wondering if there are any real known problems? Her old sled was a 97 v max xtc so I am sure this would be a huge upgrade. I have always searched my fx nyro so not very familiar with the rage or vector line up. Any thoughts would be great!! :jump...

I was thinking about welding a washer on the outside so this would be where the red is wore off on the picture. So maybe a washer welded first then weld the nut to the washer but would maybe need a longer bolt.

I use The same zx ski doo rubber on my 6.9 pilots. No modification just spread the rubber. Then I took it a step farther and shimmed the rubber in the rear. Shims have to be notched for skis plastic tab sticking up so only shimmed about 1/4". I got all the shims and ski savers from...

I had a bad vibration and it ended up being the drive belt had flat spots on it from being stuck and burning the belt. These flat spots could hardly be seen or felt when I took the belt off. I changed belt and was like a new sled!

I grease the skid at least evey couple hundred miles.

I am gonna try this. The low beam seems really good and high beam seem worse to where the light is spread out to much??? I have nose cone back on and shields on also. I ran it at first with no nose cone and seemed to me like the light did not spread out as far seemed to be more like a spot...

Studs help some but not in the deeper snow I was running 196 studs and did help on the hard pack stuff but now running 144 down the middle. It turns alot better. I am in the same boat looking for deeper lug track!

I was looking at the Skinz foam guards and maybe the glove mirror? But not sure they will give enough room for the brake lever? My reason is I now ride with my 12 year old and need to keep an eye on him. I broke my stock hand gaurd off when I fell off my sled skiding on my back looking back...

I am having a hard time finding any handgaurds and a mirror that I think will fit that are aftermarket. Seems like yamaha mirror attaches to hand gaurds? any pics would be great! I broke the yamaha hand gaurds so I have nothing! Thanks Brian

I am not sure this is the right thing to do? But i used a towlel and plugged exhaust with it running. It killed the motor so i am assuming no exhaust leaks doughnut good??

Re: look around too I have the simple schmidt bros comfort clutch. It lowers engagement to 2800 and hits hard on the mid range with top speed 99mph. I think this make gas stations stops and reverse much better with lower engagement. Brian ;)!
