You setup default map within the GAP APP. Then each start, it begins on that chosen map.
A cluster flash will show the HP/MAP on window, of whichever map you are on. Handlebar switch changes it each press.
Most guys dont have both the cluster flash AND the flasher, but my sled did and it was...
Bundle is the Best setup for tight trail guys like me....
Clutching the 270 map for around 9100 will result in a violent corner to corner neck snapping machine, it will snap the skis off ground for knolls without issue. Then when I get to lakes or wide open trails I would back down to 240 map...
Still slaving away in the city, hoping to wrap up soon so i can get up soon!
You will smell the smoke when you see me, hearing the oil consumption is hi!....Grrrr
Dano rode to Kearney yesterday!

You need a better dealer IMO.
Mine will either get me parts I need if I want to do the work.... i just drop off old parts, OR they do the entire job including labor. YES includes labor and if I recall there is ZERO deductible, unlike BRP(after 1st year) where you pay the first $50.

I always feel for tight trails like mine the compression is snappier, and can be setup nicely(Was same with my 1200). Torsional typically run cooler and work well for top speed and wide open trails.
I will own a TEAM clutched 998 if I go 998 again....The amt of time/work/modding needed with the...
Very true the turbo on the 900t is very small. Likely the reason a muffler change does not yield much gain. I see Dave now has his MID PIPE out between the turbo and muffler, which will makes some gains apparently. Also we will start seeing lots of tuners slapping on the turbo from our 998 to...
I believe this muffler is the quiet one from MBRP(in my backyard so know the gang well), no need for tune.
That being said, not sure why anyone would want a muffler like this. When most guys want HP and STOCK sound, and we now have wonderful STOCK MUFFLER TUNES avail.

I believe they were originally made/designed for the APEX back around 08 or so? I know the "real" yamahas need them as YAMAHA designed their idlers to allow wear(basically smaller idlers then other OEMs).
Guys on the Doos love them now, cause they all see how fast the DOOs wear at the bend...
Be sure to "fix" the offset with Dave bar when you tune it. It will need correct offset to not blow belts. I dont think YAM has address the offset issue yet.
Upgrade the Carlisle to the new Timken. You must have got old stock or had that belt a few seasons.
You wont ever want to ride a stock...
Same in DOO world too. Ultimax XS seems to outlast stock BRP belts bigtime. Looks like Timken has the best combination of materials for longevity for ALL sleds. It does seem the DOOS will rev less with the Ultimax, so likely better grip with less slip, less heat. I never blew my ultimax all...
I got a big smile when I got to swap with a buds RR. Bone stock those Cats corner to corner are a blast. Way way different then my Winder was stock, honestly I was not impressed with the Winder stock, it needed a tune bad!
Dan
Just remember guys, which ski works for you is similar to a "which carbide thread".....These type of "setup" and "handling" questions are never gone be same for everyone. We all ride different areas and want different things. Heck I can want a diff setup myself from one day to next with a...
I think most the Cat guys are all over here now, since there are just more topics over here then HCS.
As for belts, easy.....Ultimax XS for either Cat or Winder is best belt for longevity. But be sure to get the alignment correct first using Dave's bar(for Winder).
I went from snapping several...
