Hi.... we are at a crossroads whether to go with a single high HP trail tune or to go with a multi map for the flexibility ..... I would like to hear from multi map users if they found it beneficial for the additional price versus how often you would switch tunes . Also on a multi map how does your sled react with the modified clutching and upgraded muffler ???? always was curious if you setup clutch for maximum HP how the sled reacts..... obviously you would not be able to pull into the power band rpm range ..... so is the additional cost for a multi map utilized efficiently for the cost ? Calling out for a life line answer to help make my decision.
Cheers

It all depends, if you want the big tunes(91 +) to play around on the lake with the boys and also want to be able to run 87 when needed! Then get the bundle
I like the bundle as a trail guy because I will often ride in remote areas in northern Ontario where lodges only offer 87 so i just go to small tune and not have to worry about fuel quality
If you want a "set it and forget it " tunes go with hurricanes 240 tune it will accept 87 if needed!

As for clutching if you get the
Stock muffler tune bundle 225 240 270 you would clutch for the 270 and the other tunes will be a bit low on rpm but still work perfectly

Nice sled btw I have the same one!!:D

Got the SM Tune Bundle from Hurricane last season, and I love it! Stock sound with big power, and no worries about being pulled over by wardens for sound violation etc...
And I Echo Marc’s ideas above 100%. I love the flexibility of being able to change tunes at will, and I’m so glad I went the Bundle/Multimap route myself, well worth the the extra cost imo not to be pigeon holed.

And like Marc said, you clutch for the biggest tune you have, but the others work fabulous...you can’t feel the difference in clutching on the lower HP tunes much at all(at least I can’t). The Hurricane 240 tune is awesome, and it can run on 87 if need be which is great. And 270..well it’s just lights out; all with Stock muffler and sound.

It’s all good. Go for it imo.

Run the single biggest tune you can, and add Torco as needed, 'nuff said.

Great comments here. I also like the bundle for fuel requirements like others mentioned.
If I ride from home, I can add a gallon of 110 if I want to and set it at 300(with SQ muffler). If I have to refuel before I make it home, I just click down the HP.
Remember if you choose one tune for now, you can always upgrade in the future and only pay the difference.

Buy the flasher and you get the tune bundle for the same price as one tune. Clutching tune bundles is different for everyone. If I know I am going to go out ripping with my buds I clutch for that tune. When we go out touring I set my primary for the lower hp tune. I dont like running tunes with the wrong clutching set up in it. OCD....
So I would recomend getting the bundle of tunes, set your clutching up for each tune and adjust before planned rides.

It just seems to me that when running to low of rpm's and holding wide open the knock detection goes off more.

With TD bundle you get every available tune, not just for one specific setup. I have a bundle for the stock muffler and a bundle for my Viney Fab 3". Both use the CAI, 3 bar and BOV. Depending on where I am heading to ride I can swap the muffler and switch the bundles in about 20 minutes. Of course you need the flasher to be able to do this. The other guys want to charge you additional $ for additional hardware setups. One of the big reasons I ended up going with TD. If you add upgraded hardware, you just give Mike a call and he updates your available maps instantly. They talked about being able to do this yourself on the app but it still isn't released yet.

Bundle is the Best setup for tight trail guys like me....

Clutching the 270 map for around 9100 will result in a violent corner to corner neck snapping machine, it will snap the skis off ground for knolls without issue. Then when I get to lakes or wide open trails I would back down to 240 map for no knock lite, as I run 87 always. Just cannot beat the versatility of the bundle, in addition I ran a handlebar switch for instant map changes on fly.
