You're going to have to lift the back of the sled up and take some weight off the track. Either that or put the sled on it's side to work on it. I just had my olins shock out, and put the sled on it's side to work on it.

You might have a problem getting just the shaft replaced, I hear that Yamaha shock parts are hard to come by.

Did you try going to a web site like HLSM.com and look up the parts for your sled. There will be an exploded diagram showing all the parts in side the chain case and the order they go in.

You would be surprised how much contamination can be inside the sealed bearings after one season. I always check/clean/grease mine every year. One year it will be fairly clean and next year it will be really bad. Same goes for all the suspension wheels.

Had my 06 GT shock revalved by Bruce at Pioneer Performance. It seems to ride real good in both the small chop and hardly ever bottoms out. The range of adjustment seems greater also.

The trouble with clips is you have to go and cut all the closed windows out to install the clips.

These are made to combat your problem: Starting Line Products Part # 25-102 Anti-Wear Pad Kit They are placed in the closed window and provide a metal surface for the track to run against.

Go out on your own and practice trying different launching techniques like easing into the throttle. Once you blow the track away you loose a lot of acceleration.

Does anyone know of a source to buy a quantity ( maybe 100 ) of good strong 3/16 multi-grip rivets to use on my Yamaha. I've found sources for aluminum body / steel mandrel rivets but the originals on my Yamaha are steel body / steel mandrel which are much stronger.
