Went on my first trip on my new sled. unreal power. have a couple of questions. I rode with a skidoo 800r and Polaris 800 pro r. I need help adjusting my rear suspension to fit me. At first I had the torsion set on high. I was getting beat up on the woops. I turned It to medium, helped alittle. How else do I tune the other shocks. I am 280lbs. Second, I could not turn in deep snow. is this normal? Last day day 3 my I could smell my belt burning. Belt looks good, but my buddy on the skidoo looked at the secondary and noticed my belt is below the plates. Is the belt supposed to be above the plates to the thread line. That is how his skidoo is setup. I LOVE MY SLED! just need help tuning it to me!

SLP Powder Pro skis work real well on the Apex's in deep snow to help counter act the heavy front end. I have an extra set just for that use. I don't have the XTX model just a plain Apex, but I would call Bruce at Pioneer Performance and ask him about a setup ( shock revalving) for your weight and riding style. I really like how my Apex rides with his shock setup on my mono.

X2 on star suspension, makes the xtx a completely different sled. ride comfort is very good, transfer is awesome. before you do anything with shocks you have to start with star suspension kit.

On my 11 I have the torsion on high and clicker on second click from softest. I'm heavier then you however. When on a bagger trip I go to three or 4 clicks from full soft for the extra pack on the back.
Now is it perfect? Na but if that clicker shock is set at about 8 from full soft like mine was it will beat you like a rented mule. I also if I rember right have the transfer rods at one line above the red.
What I love about this skid is how easy it is to pull the skis in the air!
Belt should be level with secondary
