Wrong post ???????? :ORC
If you go back and look at my 1st post, I was merely trying to say that Welterracer sounded a little like Johnny Skeptical as far as the 4 stroke goes. Too heavy etc. and then in my second, I went on to show where the Yamaha 1000cc sleds are equal in weight (and...
Never said they had them all beat, compare the weight of the 06 RTX or Vector to the Mach Z and Fusion and they only have 2 cylinders. Did you expect a 1000cc 4 stroke to weigh what a 440 or 600 2 stroke will weigh ? Lets at least try to compare apples to apples.
Look at what the other...
Well "Johnny", people said Yamaha couldn't build a high performance 4 stroke that weighed less than a 2 stroke and guess what, they did. I'd say they could build it, if they WANTED to.
:4STroke:
The question is, do they want to ?
These measurements are off an 05 RX-1
1" wide tubing by 2 5/8" high. Keep in mind that the tubing has a bevel on the outside top edge. My measurements are as if this bevel wasn't there. Bevel is 1/4" wide by 3/4" high.
18 3/4" total width
28" total length
For anyone who wants to figure out the conversion themselves, the exchange rate is that 1 USD = 1.20 Canadian. Its nowhere near the rate it was a year or two ago. I was quoted 9300 USD for a Apex GT multiply that by 1.20 and you get 11160 in Canadian dollars.
And as far as buying a sled...
You truly don't believe this is the reason do you ? Its not the currency changes or the exchange rate that is the problem here, Yamaha Canada is screwing the Canadian buyer big time. With the way the value of the US dollar has fallen versus the Yen, I must say I'm very pleased that US prices...
If the alignment was off, he might have done the right thing by removing the #20 washer. Typically the squeel is caused by too tight of a belt and you need to either remove or use a narrower #9 washer. As the belt wears and becomes narrower, you will probably need to reinstall the washers...
If for some reason your oil pump lost its prime during the oil change, removing this bolt after startup would let you know that the pump wasn't pumping. Why Yamaha didn't at least put a pressure sensor in this hole is beyond me. Even an idot light would be better than nothing.
How can you be loading the bar if when you put the sled back down on the ground both sides are pushed up the same amount ? There is no twisting of the bar until one ski is either raised or lowered in comparison to the other ski.
That is the whole purpose of the bar. If you hit a bump equally...
xcsp, The YES warranty can be purchased anytime within one year from the date you buy your sled. You do not need to buy it at the time you purchase it. I usually wait, that way if you decide to buy a new sled, and get rid of the old one, you have less money in it.
06's or 05's ??????????? What gives ?????
I went to your web site (www.go-fast.net) and there you say it is the 05's.
FYI, you'll pss off alot of people if they come there and you don't have the 06's to ride.
According to the Yamaha website, they say you will have the Apex ER and...
For you guys in Ontario near Niagara Falls/ Fort Erie area try Don George's Sport Center located in Clarence New York, (716) 759-6837 Ask for Don Jr. He usually has great prices and I know he has sold sleds to Canadian customers in the past. He's probably 1/2 hour drive from the Peace...
