    Recommended rear skid for Nytro.

I have a TS skid with 162" Iceage rails. I like it. But, like Dave B I upgraded the rear shock. I went with a Fox Float with piggyback reservoir. Much better than the original float TS provided. TS didn't offer the Z-brox Exit shock at the time, or I would have gone with that.

    MCX 180 Over Boosting

I lived in Norway for one year! Near Sandvika. Didn't have a sled at the time. I can only imagine how much one costs there.

    MCX 180 Over Boosting

Just finished going through some emails with Erik Marklund who was a huge help. When sled is at idle, solenoid valve should be de-energized (open) allowing air to pass though it to the wastegate. The bleed port at the bottom should be shut. Mine is passing which is causing boost pressure to...

    MCX 180 Over Boosting

Can someone answer this. When you start the engine, does the TCV solenoid energize (close) right away or not?

    MCX 180 Over Boosting

I think I will try connecting the waste gate to the turbo discharge directly as you suggested. I think I have narrowed it down to the TCV. What I really need to know is if the valve is open allowing boost pressure through to the waste gate, should air also be exiting the valve's bleed port...

    MCX 180 Over Boosting

Thanks for the link. The Nytro TCV looks a little different. Maybe it is just the metal bracket that is different on the Nytro. I will email MCX and see what they have to say.

    MCX 180 Over Boosting

My MCX 180 has always run about 9 psi boost at 6500'. This weekend the thing was a rocket and I was shocked when the boost gauge read 14 psi. I babied the thing for the rest of the day and checked things out when I got home. The waste gate moved freely and compressed air will move the...

    Quick clutch question

I have thought of two options for dealing with the rattle. On my sled the majority of the noise is caused by the loose roller sleave bolt. The nut tightens up against the sleave before it contacts the clutch spider. On my sled there was about a .030" gap. The bolt easily slids back and...

2008 nytro misfire at low rpms

I am having the same problem. Mine won't even idle. Let us know if you have found a solution. I am going through all my wire connections and vacuum hoses but haven't found anything yet.

Easy way to charge the battery on Fx Nytro?

I have a small YUASA battery charger/tender with leads that stay connected to the battery. There is a plug that I ran out by the steering post for easy connection.

    Low end bog

Nikolai. Did you have any luck with your CO tunning? I also have an Excell header and under tunnel exhaust. I do have a slight bog, but don't know if it is worth screwing around or not. Looking at the instructions that Rotax posted, it seems that the CO is being adjusted for the 0-3000 RPM...

    2009 Yamaha Nytro Subframe?

Your pic didn't show up. Another question. What did you use to force the fram back into position? I've heard of guys tieing their sled between two trucks and the subframe barely moving.

    2009 Yamaha Nytro Subframe?

Grimm, what did you use as refrence points or measurements to determine what had to be re-bent back into the original location? I have a bent subframe sitting in the corner of my garage that I would like to straighten and reinforce but I figured it would be pretty hard to move things back...

    headers and exhaust

I posted a similar response in the mountain section too. I have the full Excell system and it is a bit louder than stock, but it sounds great. It is the header that adds the extra HP, not so much the muffler. So, if you are looking lighter weight, better sound, and more HP, the full Excell...

    156 x 2.5 Track on Nytro - too much?

I think the Camo Extreme 156" is a perfect set-up for a non-turbo nytro. I know a bunch of people that run them. I am not convinced that the clearance to the exchanger is a huge factor in snow evacuation, but I haven't done any back to back tests with a 2.25" track. As mentioned above, gear...

    BEST EXHAUST

I second the comment on the full Excell system. I have one and it is a bit louder than stock, but it sounds great. It is the header that adds the extra HP, not so much the muffler. So, if you are looking lighter weight, better sound, and more HP, the full Excell system is the way to go...

Does the rack come with the rubber pad? Was it polished or did you do it when you polished the tunnel?

    Aluminum Ramp

I bought a tri fold ramp from Princess auto. They go on sale all the time for about $170. Then I rivetted some 2" aluminium angle on the outside edges to make sure the skis would come off the sides. I also rivetted puck board on the two outside sections of the ramp. It works really well and...
