    Phazer for my son?

Plenty of power for his weight. The Phazer requires an ACTIVE rider to get it to handle. It's very sensitive to rider movement, and it's needed to ride it swiftly. Most new riders I put on mine don't care for it, experienced riders love it.

Yikes! Glad you essentially OK. Sled can be repaired or replaced. Were you leading the group?

    cure for cabin fever

An inexpensive solution is one of the 12V Car Blankets they sell. They don't draw much power, but in that they're out of the wind, it might be all you need. Heated jackets for motorcycling could also be an option, but they draw 90w ea. and I don't think the electrical system is up to the challenge.

    Oil change issue

Maybe try tightening a little first to break it loose. Is there enough left to put a hose clamp on to knock it loose with a hammer and punch? Else, you're going to need more room to work...

    Ride,Ride,Ride!

That's our zone too. Mostly Waukesha, Jefferson and Walworth Counties. Late start this year, but a strong finish! Had some of the best days ever with all the new snows this month. Lets hope for one more chance...

    Water in Chain case

This has been my experience as well, not from water infiltration, just accumulated condensation. After two seasons it's quite milky, change it every year now, regardless of mileage.

    2011 Phazer handling issues

Pull UP the limiter a couple holes, it will help. Woolyviper is right on with his adjustments. The sled needs to be ridden, a passive operator will not be able to get comfortable, or even feel safe. Explain to her about getting her weight up over the skis, and give her a field or lake to...

    Do all 07's Crank Slow?

After sitting essentially empty since February, I put in fresh fuel in our '08. It cranked slightly slower (had been on tender) but started after about 9-10 revolutions. Yours took about 25...

My Love Hate thing w/ the Phazer

Increasing free-wheel I'm new to clutch adjustment. So you're saying to reduce the offset to less than spec will increase free-wheel? What about the sheave free play...should that be adjusted differently too? My base model sled doesn't have reverse, so that's not an issue.

My Love Hate thing w/ the Phazer

http://www.ulmerracing.com/Phazer.htm looks nice but $120 for three weights and a spring -OUCH- Anyway to dial it in for better free-wheeling with the stock component adjustments?

My Love Hate thing w/ the Phazer

Got the '08 Phazer two years ago. Took a while to get it setup so it would turn. (Thanks TY4S!) With the the limiter strap tightened up, at the end of the first season, I actually started to like this sled. My wife took a tumble on it on the ice the first year after the track locked up from the...
