Quick ? on RS Venture shocks...rebuildable?

Shocks are never cheap. I learned that the hard way by buying an adrenaline renegade with non rebuildables. $900 later, I had 4 rebuildable Fox shocks on it. Should've just bought the x model. Thanks for the info guys.

Does anyone know if 05 Venture had rebuildable shocks? If not, what year did they introduce them? Thank you!

2006 Mar TY Muni ride - Thanks and 07 Phazer impressions

Man, you guys are pretty thin skinned over here. A little point/counter point never hurt anyone. Chill out and lay off the blue koolaid for a bit. :ORC

2006 Mar TY Muni ride - Thanks and 07 Phazer impressions

Re: Phazer I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the vibes. 20mpg? Where does this info come from? I thought so. No one will know mpg until they're on the snow next season.

2006 Mar TY Muni ride - Thanks and 07 Phazer impressions

Re: Phazer Are you serious? Most 500s are making over 100 horse now. I thought it felt pretty anemic. Probably perfect for a 14 yo. Putting a 14yo on a srx is silly, or worse, imo. Did anyone notice the excessive vibration in the fazers? Especially on the GT, the FX and to a lesser...

Tom, thank you for putting this demo ride thing together. It was VERY helpful in evaluating different sleds. Your time and effort are much appreciated. Gary

My RedTip & Plastic Backer experience...

After a fair amount of experimenting, my personal favorite is combo of woody's gold digger studs with stud boy power plate backers. Cost's more to mix the two brands and buy them separately, but I've found you cannot beat the power plates for backers but the SB studs just didn't hold up for me.

    Good and Bad 2006 Rage

Jerry, Cats have specially designed tracks to keep noise down. No kiddin. Next time you see a newer Cat, look at where the idler wheels ride, there are little "bumps" if you will, hard to describe, but they are there to keep noise down. This was one of the fruits of their new NVH lab (noise...

    Rage suspension questions

I've read that the clicker on the rage/warrior skid affects both comp and rebound dampening, but affects rebound more, I believe. Think that was in snowtech.

    RAGE/VECTOR REVERSE ISSUES

I always put a nylon web type strap from my bumper to the snowflap to keep it from being sucked under. It will "resist" being sucked under, but if your backing up in 12" fresh, there's no guarantees with this fix.

RS Venture Tunnel/ Heat Exchange Protectors

My best guess w/out owning one is you'll have to drop the skid. Not sure if that's a big deal or not, it's not too hard my poos/doos. Good luck.

RS Venture Tunnel/ Heat Exchange Protectors

vector/rage comes with them installed from factory. Probably just a cut corner on the venture to keep their cost down.

Let's welcome scotth (Scott Hansen) and help him out

Scott, without addressing your issues one at a time, I'll tell you I'm considering a rage/vector for my next sled and I've been riding for 9 years, I've owned 4 polaris', 1 cat and 2 doos in those 9 years. My only issue with the sled (was able to test ride a rage a couple weeks ago) is the...

    gas leak

The rage I test rode the other day had a coolant leak when I got back to the dealer, small puddle under the sled. I figured it was simply from the overflow, but the salesman didn't know and didn't think it important enough to get the wrench out to look at it. ???

    Rage-the machine

Rode one today, thank you very much BSA Yamaha in Marquette. Seem like nice guys to deal with and let me spin 10 miles on one. In short, this yamaha 3cyl will likely be my wife's next sled. Still a little unsure whether to go w/the shortie or 136". I was hoping to get something that I'd...

Vector 600 Miles Slider wear issue- suggestions?

When you say loose end of the spec...? If you have 600 miles on, I'd loosen it til it ratchets, then tighten a little. It's not likely it's going to stretch more. But, probably the hard trail last night that really did er in for ya. Tork, that treadmill thing is hilarious! TFF!

    Bar riser on Rage

Anyone put a bar riser on their rage/vector? I have a 2" articulating rox which I think would be about perfect, if I buy this sled, but don't really want to have to f around with new cables, etc. Are the cables long enough for that? Thanks for any experieces you can share!
