Hi,
I'm looking to get some after market skis on my 07 Phazer and would like to get the opinions from people using them. I have looked at some of the previous threads about after market skis, but have noticed that a lot of people just mention the brand that they are using, and not the specific...
If they have too many 2011's and 2012's remaining, why would they continue to manufacture it instead of using extra sales promotions on the Phazer to reduce stock, and bring out the replacement sled, or just leave a year with nothing smaller than a Vector/Nytro to help push the non-currents...
If I remember correctly, the rubber gromets need to be on the part that the headlight cover attaches to in order to install it. But its been about a year since I last worked on it.
Haven't ridden anything with power steering, but maybe they should have focused on fixing the steering issues instead of covering them up with EPS.
A lot of people are saying that with minor adjustments from the factory help this sled a lot, so why not do some of those too?
I found this website two years ago when I went to do an oil filter change myself. If you click on the pictures, they should enlarge for a better look.

It helps to tow a sled if you put a crazy carpet under the track. When I was younger, my dad used to always take them on trips to make it easier to tow people when they break down. Never could figure out where they always disappeared to, only realized after I got my licence and went on a trip...
The last time that I changed the filter, I took off the body panels and headlight, and then I let it warm up and took the drain bolts out to let the oil drip while I get to the filter. At least this way the oil is still warm when the oil is draining and the filter is pulled off, otherwise not...
It looked something like this, if I remember correctly. The instructions didn't last long. Read them once looking for some detail on where to put the rivets or rear straps, but found nothing.
The directions weren't all that great. They still use that same generic snowmobile picture that looks like a sled from 20 years ago, so I kind of guessed where the four straps would be mounted on the sled.
I got Yamaha's combination sport luggage saddlebags over the summer to replace the stock storage compartment. I've only been out once with them so far because of this lousy weather, but they don't seem to move around. It's too bad that Yamaha doesn't show more pictures of their accessories...
It's probably because it's not trail approved by the government. I looked at a local dealership's website where they put the accessories in themselves with their own description and it said that it was for racing purposes only.
"Important note: All 2006 and newer snowmobile models are...
I've been using one of these solar panels http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4 ... ?locale=en to keep it charged during the summer. I haven't had any problems with it so far. I also try and start it once a month and let it run for a few minutes.
I don't know about the insurance companies in other provinces (I'm in Ontario), but your house insurance does not cover vehicles in a garage/shed, even if it the garage is attached to your house.
Again, I don't know about other insurance companies, but when my dad's sled caught on fire a few...
I have tried disconnecting the battery and that didn't help. When I discovered that the hoses were not connected, I checked the other end to see if it disconnected from the other end as well, but it is connected.
As for one of the plugs being loose, I tried pushing them in more thinking that...
I checked the hoses, and they were off. I reconnected them, but the error message is still appearing. Is there something else that I need to do to get rid of the error code?
