Also, if it sat for the summer and you haven't done anything else, clean your carbs, especially the slow speed jets! They will be gummed up with the 'classy' fuel we get today. At the very least, do a search for threads on 'priming RX1' as there are some tricks to getting fuel to your carbs...

My advice would be to get a box of Dryer static sheets(Bounce) and stuff them everywhere! Do yourself a favor beforehand... the mice nesting and squirrel nut storage, chewed wires, etc. They're unbelievable when they find a snowmobile!!!

I have an 03RX1 that I started up today and is steaming from what I believe is either the 'engine' forward side of the front heat exchanger, or the exhaust area. Heat exchanger has no dings/stud marks , etc. Clean & dry. I've checked all of the hoses numerous times, done 2 compression tests...

Just a guess, maybe the buzzer 'switch' was frozen, and not returning the plunger. You're moving/activating the linkage must have freed it up some.

Jocelyn, sometimes it's the most simple things.... Have you tried loosening the gas cap??? Perhaps the vent hose to your gas tank is pinched? That would allow it to start fine, warm up, but then not be able to supply enough gas and run on lean/less cylinders. Maybe have your mechanic fit a...
