    i went back to the viper belt today. inconsistent rpms. doesnt pull hard. clutches hot. it is a world of difference using the 8dn. only reason i went back to the viper belt cause the 8dn slid up and over my primary and the belt exploded after only 150 miles. can someone please tell wtf is going on?

    my thoughts exactly. i tried the 8 dn with shims. and it lasted 150 miles. looks like it rode up to high on the primary and eventually over. im going back to the 8 jp for now. but i m getting tired of having issues. im sure they can handle 190 hp

    well that didnt last long. 150 miles. belt exploded. second belt to go. one was the viper belt. that lasted 1500 miles. nytro belt lasted 150 miles. now what??

    some guys were talking about swapping out the yamaha torsion springs and putting in the artic cat ones. they were saying there is quite a bit of difference between the two. not saying its true. just what i heard. me personally i have no problems with the setup on my viper.

    made the switch to the 8dn belt today for my turbo viper. rpms seemed more consistent. clutches cooler. less belt dust. less slipping. then changed my helix to a dalton components 38/44. running at holes 2and 6. finally reaching 8900-9000 rpms. was only hitting 8300-8400 before. thing pulls alot...
