    Clunking noise from drive train.

Had the same problem on my 06 Vector, thought it was in drivetrain, went thru chaincase, drivers, etcc. turned out to be a bad idler wheel and bearing, 25.00 fix, clunk went away! (It was very noticable at low speeds)

Just a quick question, the stepped washer behind the secondary should be installed with the smaller diameter towards the bearing or towards the sheave? The parts diagram dosn't show a step in the washer so just curious. Thanks!!

    Broken supertips

I installed a ulmer clutch kit last year and love it, today one of the weights broke off near the heal and gouged my movable sheave, my question is if I buy just the sheave thru yamaha, will I need to have it balanced, or is it a straight bolt on, and if so does it need to be aligned? Is it...

Yeah, It is strange, I never really payed attention to the max rpms before the kit so I'm not sure where it should be at high speeds.

If your on the left side, loosen the nut up and over the top (Basically counterclockwise from either side of sled facing the locknut will do it). I'm not sure if loosening the front springs helped or it was the transfer settings, but in theory lowering the front end by softening up the...

Well I ended up using large channel lock pliers on the transfer rod locknut and it worked like a charm. I backed off the transfer to 2 lines from min, moved limiter strap one hole tighter than stock, and backed off front shock springs, the good was it stayed down alot better on the turns...

    Hyfax breaking on install

I've changed out hyfax quite often and have never had problems like I had on my 06 Vector. Had the sled in a heated garage and when reinstalling the new slides as soon as they got to the curve they would pull off and start to rip at the corner inside the "t" profile. Basically they would...
