    Looks like that could be the chaincase vent. There is no way to pump oil up to that gear. "Just looked it up on Yamaha parts site it is the breather"

    The top drive gear spins on the jackshaft when in reverse. There is no bearing and it wears the gear and jackshaft fast. You must use never-seize when you install the gear on the jackshaft to make it last. Sad thing is you have to do this every once in a while or the lube wears off. Stupid design

    If you pull the limiter strap all the way up, use slim jim 6" dooley carbides and move the spacers on the ski's to the inside to increase ski stance this sled will handle like it is on rails-gauranteed

    Apex droning noise

    Actually towed mine behind another sled at the speed it makes the noise with the engine both off and idling-no drone noise. It is the exhaust-put your gloved hand over the exhaust when it makes the noise and it quiets down

    It was absolute perfect conditions-never seen it any better. For comparison my 10 GSX SE 1200 saw 111 on gps and a 09 800 MXZ saw 115.7

    The Vector with Slim Jim Duallys is actually very easy to drive-She would have no problems with that sled

    Nothing against the Apex but you can hands down drive the 1200 Ski Doo faster and easier in the trails. The only place the Apex is better is in a very long straightaway
