Thanks guys. I was able to order the parts I needed from Laneo and I also ordered the bushing kit from Ulmers. I was surprised how easy it was to take everything apart. The damage was limited to the a-Arms, bushings, and the shock. No bulkhead damage and Simmons ski is perfect. Not a...
Went to a family party this weekend... We all get together once a year and bring the sleds. Lots of food, hanging out, and riding around my uncle's vast property. I had just taken the sled off the trailer when my sister asked to take it for a ride. I said "sure just be careful". I had to...
I am on my 3rd sled with Mack studs. Ride pretty hard. I can count on one hand the number of studs that have bent or pulled through. In my opinion, they are not junk at all. They hold up extremely well as a matter of fact! I had 4K+ miles on my XC700 and when I traded it in, there were 4...
I was forever Polaris myself. Loved my XC700. Went riding with a buddy and his 08 LTX GT. He made me ride it and I fell in love in about 3 miles. I traded the Polaris in 2 days later and have never looked back. I picked up an 07 Attack GT leftover. I had to stud it because I felt the sled...
I have always been someone who just bought a sled and ran it out of the box. However it handled was how it handled. The accessories I put on were mostly cosmetic with the exception of studs. With that being said, I love the fact that I can dial my Attak GT in to exactly where I want it. I...
Red Rider, I was seriously thinking about some type of spring. I even went looking for the perfect setup to put a spring in there. I couldn't find anything that I liked at the time but I will definitely revisit that idea again. Please post if you come up with something!
Well if they do disintegrate, I will just replace them again and again. They are only .30 cents a piece and it takes me 20 minutes now that I am familiar with it.
HAHA Yeah that is the 2nd time you have had to find that thread for someone!
Guys, you should try this if you can't live with the clunking as I couldn't. It has really made a difference in the ride quality of my Attak. I don't hear the clunking anymore. I can still feel it somewhat, but...
I went with the Simmons Flexi-Ski. Rides like a dream now. Floats in powder. No more sinking like stock skis. On the trail-- If it is hard packed, steers a little hard but doesn't bother me because the sled RAILS. Haven't gotten a chance to ride in soft trails yet but I think they will bite...
You will love it man. I almost stopped snowmobiling entirely because I was kinda bored with it. One weekend while I was riding, I rode a friends new Apex, went home and had to buy one, and I AM BACK! I smile every time I hit the throttle. It's like a whole new world for me. Good purchase...
Yes they take up slightly more thickness but I think that they will compress and have more "give" so it's probably the same.
I would never compensate my rod length...
