Just got back from my Yami dealer, and they gave me the fix for the hood marks and seat tears.

Hood fix - Yamaha is supplying to their dealers, rubber tips that get riveted to the aluminum frame by the area by the screws. I was supplied 2 rubber parts, and 2 rivets. If they ask, tell them that it is technical bulletin S2003-011, dated 9/04/03. They can print you out a drawing of where it should be placed and what drill to use. (no charge) Yamaha will only replace hoods, that have damage showing from the outside, (painted), surface from the screws.
Seat fix - Yamaha is supplying 2 rivets to each customer with a seat rip problem, so check yours. They were going to install mine, but I have racing to do yet, and they gave me instructions, where I can do it myself. If they ask, it is technical bulletin S2003-012, dated 9/04/03. They have a new seat cover for me, and will install when I give the seat to them. (no charge).
I apologize to everyone who has emailed ?'s to me about this, but my dealer just received this information, so I couldn't give an accurate answer.

My dealer replaced my hood and it was not through to the painted side.
They also added the rubber bumpers

Thanks NOS. Hopefully they will do the same here in Canada. Have already taken my seat to the dealer and they are in the process of getting a new cover. Will need to ask them the the fix for the rivets in both locations.

I'll post more if I find out. Your welcome guys.
