I went for a ride last night. I found a mud hole had my wife with me it booged right down had her goet off. Then tryed to get out then it acted like it had a rev limiter like rev in forward. After getting out i noticed i had a vibration. I did not think these acted like the cat atvs. with the belt sencor. I might have flat spoted the belt or do i have a other prob?? But it stil pulls good and did not lose top end and when i went in a water whole later it did the rev limiter thing again?? I am kinda stumped this thing loves water i play in the river a lot with no prob
shot me some sugestions

If your in diff lock, yellow button out, the rev limit will kick in. I installed a rev limit bypass switch for both reverse and diff lock on my grizzly. When I get in a bad spots I like to get all the wheel spin possible. Steam off the engine can also cause the engine to sputter and act as if the rev limit kicked in.
If you have a vibration I'd check the belt. They never disengage like a snowmobile but it's possible you slipped it, especially if it got wet. I've ran a Kodiak with aggressive mud tires and found that the engine had a hard time spinning the wheels in the heavy stuff so I started running in low gear instead of high. I think its much easier on the engine and belt.

Have you pulled the drain plug on the belt housing?

O ya but it has never had any water in it every time i pull it out. Would like to put a clutch kit in it but every one says no noticable improvement.

as far as the clutch kit goes i put a grunt kit in my 05 660 and love it. it feels like it has more pep. but the vibration could it be just from something and mud wrapped around one of the drive shafts? i get that alot from the river on the rear main drive line. mud/seaweed not on it cutting out ive also heard a lot of problems coming from the connectors on the front diff. what you need to do and what i found out on my 660 is if it liked water before and now is acting funny the water could have rotted the seals on the connecter. so just take em all off and fill them up with dielectric grease and stick em back on and no more water... thats where i would start ..... keep us posted
