i have a 05 660 se when i start the bike its fine and idles fine and drives fine now heres the prob when i give it a little gas say about quarter trottel or more it starts to back fire, sputter, pop almost like the rev limiter is going off. checked my plug and it is white to white for my liking. so i took the tank off cleaned it out it was very dirty took the carb off and took it apart cleaned it up cleaned the jets etc put it all back together and seems fine so far .but the white plug thing is bothering me any suggestions on what to do or look out for ? thanks

bike is bone stock except for a k&n airfilter

run it some more and check it again. if it checks good you got it. keep an eye on the antifreeze leveltoo as it might be a bad head gasket.

thanks for the help . the fluid level is goo and has not changed i bought it

If you don't like the plug that white you might try going up one size on the piolet jet and one size on the main jet. When I did that with my 660 it became a lot easier to start and warm up time improved. Actually I went up two sizes on my main jet and cut six one inch holes in the air box lid. It ran great.
