My .02 is do the RTX. I have the baby version of it (07 RS Nytro) and it is an awesome bumpy trail unit. You can set that CK skid up to take a decent beating. I chase newer Doos around on it all day.
The rtx skid slows top speed down alsdo hard to get shocks soft enough for average trail driving attack with shock valved right is way better ride and when set up will have better top end
I never had a wire break on mine but many have I suspect it happens after skid removal and not securing the wire back the way it was there is a thread on here that will show you exactly how to route and tie that wire down and it will never give you any grief. have the shock re-valved to your size and it will be the most plush ride you can get. if you are not a ditch banger and per your own account you are a groomed trail rider this will be a great sled for you. RTX stands for rough trail extreme and when not in the rough stuff it can be a harsh ride. I always preferred the GT ride for my ridding 90% on trail.
