07 bars on an 06

Run them in parallel. Open the connectors up. Take one lead from each warmer and connect to the yellow/red wire. Take the other two leads and connect to the black wire. Leave the black/red out.

Turn the warmers down to zero to stop the fault code. Then disconnect the warmers from the circuit, and connect them to the brake light hot wire in the same area. Run a ground wire from the frame and install a toggle switch in the ground wire. Steiner is right, run them in parallel.

Bars

So this will give me a fault code , unlless I run an accessory wire? Just askin'. Not the end of the world for warm hands. I have the 07 bars and harness update right now. I know that some guys were running the 06 bars with the 07 harness which I think ran them paralell... Yes/no? If i put an 06 harness back in will this achieve the same? Thanks for the help.

Having nothing connected to the warmer circuit will trip code 81 if they are turned on. Connect something with an electrical resistance to it later just in case the switch is bumped. The 2006 ran 2 ohm grips in series, the 2007 ran 7 ohm grips in parallel. See an ohm's law calculator to calculate the wattage. Using the stock handwarmer circuit will only achieve full duty cycle at higher engine rpms, and will never warm them up. The brake light circuit will power them at a steady 12-14 volts when the engine is running.
After this you will find them still coming up short and get the booster offered by an advertiser on this site.
