09 lower ball joint

So I can order the 2010 upper and lowers from Royal and they will fit right into my 2009? I've already done A-arm bushings and ski bushings a few years back but thanks!

I just checked the catalog and I only see the lowers. Guess they don't sell the uppers also? Never mind I see them now - wasn't reading the catalog right

Just a follow up on these ball joints, these are actually the wrong ones as the 09 is one year only units. I didn't have my old ones at home when I put these in. The 09 ball joint ball has a raised collar on either side.
I will have to order from Yamaha.

Raised collar on the ball itself or on the casing? If it's the ball you could use washers .

On the ball, and I thought about washers but the hole is a different diameter also. What was Yamaha thinking?

I think on the 2010 there are hat shaped inserts on either side of the ball joint! I took one apart 3 weeks ago and it's still apart at my shop waiting for a-arms to come back from powder coating. You may be able to get the inserts and use your ball joints.

You can buy just the inserts from Yamaha. I should have a direct fitting replacement ball joint for 08-09 models in stock soon.

I don't think there are any washers! Only two are under head of bolt and under the lock nut.

would you mind getting some dimensions of those inserts? Be quicker for me to machine them up rather than go buy some from yamaha! Cheers
