Recently had my sled at Excell Motorsports for some skid work. A little shout out!!!
They had all my shocks redone by Hygear and added a dual rate spring for the center shock. Excell 6 wheel kit, 4th wheel kit, dupont slides. Next came the Star 128" skid relocation kit and a 129x1.6 Ice cobra 2.86 pitch. Drivers changes out from 2.52 extros to 2.86 extros. Plenty of clearance on all tunnel and heat exchange protectors. The Excell guys had to drill an extra hole 1" back in the Star kit to accommodate the 129" track.
Pumped to say the least, The track angle at the drivers is way more slack compared to my wifes 121" nytro. I have a feeling this set up is going to work out very well!!!!

Only a quick rip in the unplowed parking lot at my work, Hooked up very good!!! skis picked right up rather than trenching..
I got it home last night, I will get a rip in around my yard and field this weekend..Anxious to say the least..

Just wanted to follow up with you guys, finally got some miles on it. I freaking love this set up!!! The track hooks and books. The hygear revalved suspension is soooooooooo much better, I can slam moguls now with ease, The sled gets the skis up and launches off moguls like it should. In the corners I get a little rear end drift which I like, and then straight to WOT and I'm freaking gone!!! It is truly so much better, and I am so happy with it.
On another note, My buddy wanted to ride on Jan 1st, My sled was not ready so he begged me to ride his 2014 Doo 800 renegade so he could get out on the trail on his new 2015 800 rene. So we did about 40 miles as conditions were not the best..not the worst, but not the best..Well, I REALLY liked the seating position of the Doo. I felt like I was sitting on the sled rather than in the sled. I also threw my leg over my other buddies 2011 Assault and an Axys, all had this "on" the sled feeling to me.
So talked to Aaron at Excell's about the seating position, "I was told give me a week, I will get something together for you" Well sure enough, a week later I get a text Friday night to be at the shop first thing in the morning, and bring my sled. WOOT WOOT!!!
I now have the Excell Light System on my sled, took off 25lbs, I am sitting with my hips above my knees, This seat fawking rocks!!! I have that "on the sled" feel rather than in the sled. The steering effort is so much easier just by my seating position moved, I dont need as much body english anymore to turn, which I found odd since I am higher. But one cheek off to the side rather than my whole #*$&@ was working to perfection.
I am freaking loving my sled, It is so much fun to ride.. Mad props to the all the guys at Excell Motorsports for taking my thoughts and ideas and making them a very awesome reality!!!
A couple pics of Doo ride day and the new seat set up..

Yes, I took mine to Grizztracks who extended my 2009 Nytro RTX SE. I went with Tracks USA 128 x 15 x 1.25 Ripsaw II (Item #9215H) with Yamaha 4" Rail Extension for 2010 121" Sleds. Put in Woody's Gold Digger 1.325" 60 degree with backers, COMB Template, and Track Drill back in 2014. I did NOT go with a star relocation kit. I am Very Glad without the relocation kit. I have been very pleased with the installation and this set-up!

Tell me more about the 4" rail extension please.

I believe the 4" rail extension gives added stability to the over-all handling of the sled and reduces (however slightly) the twitchiness. I wanted to keep the integrity of my original RTX SE suspension, and decided just to slightly extend my track. I did not change anything in the rear suspension other than adding additional wheels. The 4" rail extension has held up to all kinds of riding. I have Not had any performance issues with this rail extension kit.
I rode a Nytro that had the Star Relocation Kit and I did Not like the feel!!

Who makes the 4" extension?
I am looking at extending my nytro also.
Just haven't decided to go with a 137 skid or extend my rtx se skid.

Check out www.tracksusa.com I am not exactly sure what needs to be done to the rear suspension when you extend a Nytro from 121" to 137". I can only comment on a 121" to 128".
