The lowers -arm has some up and down play could it be just a worn out ball joint. Or could the a-arm be worn. Don’t think it should move up and down at all

mine was the lower bolts in the spindles as they had come loose, so the lower ball joints ate into the spindlesa bit. i just used aluminum epoxy to fill in the groove and put all new bolts and washers in it to fix it. the missing washers did not help in my case or the egged out subframe mount holes for the lower control arms.

Check the plastic bushings in the A arm to frame mounts. Get the Oilite version. Check both ball joints, especially the lowers which are notorious for wear. Check the shock mounts.
