I have the opportunity to buy a new 1" rip2 for $350.
It's sole purpose is racing on hard packed snow.
Does this track suffer any traction loss in those conditions vs a 1.25" rip2

260/280 tune ,192 studs

Ty.....

You want the 1 inch Hacksaw on hardpack snow.

I thought the one inch is a ripsaw , not rip 2.

Yes, the stock 1" on an SRX is a Ripsaw. When I was talking to Camso during the season they recommended.

Cobra 1.6 if you never run on ice
Ripsaw 2 1.5 if you regularly get fresh snow but mostly ride trails
ripsaw 2 1.25 best all around - needs studs
hacksaw 1" for only hard packed trail (it is the middle ground between cobra lug composition/design, ripsaw 1 durability because it has short lugs)
Ripsaw 1 (stock SRX 1") is good in his opinion but needs studs.

The engineer I was speaking to rides a winder, viper, and an apex.

If you run the 1", I would also run 5 studs per bar. I run 5 per bar on a 1.25".

Hard pack is where that track will shine when compared to the 1.25". And it also has that quiet track technology.

This is the ad. It appears to be a rip2 fully clipped.

Thanks guys! Could be a scam. As guy is claiming it's something else. Not to mention his inability to show more pics, etc.

Short lug, long studs works well for hardpack. Look at the holeshot @Trailleader gets with his track/stud set-up. I can't say it's the most trail friendly, but it works.

1" fully clipped 2.52 hacksaw non-quiet +5mph vs stock 1.25 Ripsaw. I like it better in most conditions and glad I switched.
