Thought after my initial 300 mile check in I’d do one at 1000 miles. Been a great season thus far in western NB. Good snow and trails are groomed right past the house. Logged 1000 miles now on my ‘20 LE. Have most things fixed up and I think figured out. Have clutching pulling hard to hit 8900 on max 17. Power and response to throttle on trail is unreal. Back shift is now more like my old ape with the helix wrapped to 80 (6-2) this also brought rpm up couple hundred so I can run my XS belts and be right in the sweet spot on my max 17. Have not tried eco or power trail on the set up because well, max 17 is just too much dam fun. My 850 doo buddie decided he wanted to race a while ago from a dig. I passed him at 200’ mark then let off and powered by twice more in 660’ on just power trail. He was not impressed with my show boating. Lol. Only things I have to gripe about is I need a stiffer front skid shock spring as I am 300lbs in riding gear and running torsion springs on firm, I’m out of adjustment on my ski shock to get weight off the front, torsions on medium, sled is awesome, carves good but bottoms out too much. Sting ray spring and a set of CA custom skis are in the works and I think I’ll have the perfect trial weapon. Lastly, did a big off trail loop to my camp through 3-4 feet of untouched backcountry. This winder goes through that much better then my longer 144” ape did, was easy to pick my line and get up the ridges and through the strip cuts and skidder trails. When we got to my camp road which is scafired with a grader for logging trucks and very hard ice/snow pack, I hit 121 mph and ran out of gear. The thing pulled like a freight train until that speed then was done. Fastest I’ve ever seen on a sled. My old ape (2013)showed me 119 speedo which was out only 3mph to gps. How close to reality are these speedo. I haven’t had a chance to compare yet. So over all I’m more then happy with this sled and I do a lot of taking about it at the warning shacks and watering holes, lots of guys love the spring colour blue on blue this year. Happy trails.

I have a 2019 X-TX LE.
When running at 121mph on my speedo the GPS shows 114mph.
I have noticed that all the Sidewinders use the same 8 magnet speed sensor on the drive shaft regardless of driver size.
The X-TX has 8 x 3" drivers = 24" circumference
The SRX has 9 x 2.86" drivers = 25.74" circumference
Unless the ECU has been calibrated for different driver sizes, the speedometer would indicate 7% difference between an X-TX and an SRX...over indicating on the X-TX in comparison to the SRX

506, there is an app called Speedometer 69, and it's free on the google store. No more guessing. BTW, I saw 124 on my speedo one time, but the GPS said 116.
I have GPS'd 124 mph on a 19 srx with software only, stock gearing.

I believe the srx is geared different from my ltx

Ok, yours is the 24/50 like mine.

You guys are both boosted, correct? How do you like the 24/50 gears being boosted? I have a set to put in, but haven’t got around to it yet. With the TD Max Spool 16 with stock muffler, was wondering if I would like going to 24/50 or not, from 21/41. Would love to hear both feedback. Very seldom can I hold it for very long in Northern Wisconsin as trails are pretty tight twisties with some areas with some nice longer swooping curves.

Nice report! Are you running the Dalton Black/Green Primary and Dalton Black/Orange Secondary spring with your TD setup?

I have my helix wrapped at 80 (6-2) with the XS825 belt, but may look at going 6-1 to see if that helps bring down the temp on the secondary as the xs825 sure grabs nicely.

Yes, I'm tuned. Even the 24/50 will have you very close to 120 gps on a hard pack or ice. I'm running 24/48.
I guess you have to ask yourself how often you want to top your sled out? 120 is still cooking along and 24/50(even though it sounds low), is enough to easily out top any of the two stroke challengers.

Thanks. I want to stay out in front of my Skidoo 900T buddies that are using TD 205 tune.

Yes I have the same springs in. I also have a black teal for the primary for Sunday funday but the track is just groomed this week and calling for rain Sunday
