Only gripe I have with my ‘20 LE after 3610 trouble free miles, 3160 of them at 290hp with uncountable amount of race passes at the local Sunday funday, is the handling of this sled in loose snow or fresh powder. Never drove a pre ‘20 winder so I can’t speak to rather or not it turns better then previous model. I can say in good groom it corners flat and fast. 2 stokes run on the ragged edge can not out run me in the woods. Back to the loose and powder. Once the trail is tore up or fresh snow on top, the handling disappears completely. Pushes like bully after your lunch money. No amount of skid adjustment front or rear can help, I tried everything. So I’ve bought a set of C&A pro, xtp’s with 7.5” carbide as well as the centre shock spring from sting ray. Just looking for input from any guys with this set up. Read a lot about the XTPs being too aggressive but the sting ray spring will cure that as I’m 300+ Lbs with a suit on and have a lot of pressure on that stock centre spring now, as it has to be. I can easily see how that would cause the C&A’s to bite hard. I think the spring upgrade will cure 90% of that. Bill said when I spoke with him that for my weight, seat the spring then go just 7-8 turns. Can’t wait to get the set up in and test.

I have a new 2020 xtx se, I have c&a xcs skis with 6" Woody's ace carbides, the thing is awesome in the loose, but a real bugger of heavy steering on the trails. I have a stingray spring on its way as well and upgraded the shaft that goes through the bottom hole of the the center shock. My dealer told me that people who upgrade to a stiffer spring and carry as much as i do usually bend the shaft. For the rest of this year I decided to buy some kimpex stealth skis and try them out. My local yamaha dealer swears they are the best on the heavier winder and has told me he will take them back full refund if I don't like them.

So it was either spend 300$ to "try" snow trackers or slim jims and hope they work, then wait who knows how long, or pay a couple hundred more and walk out with an entire new ski setup that is fully returnable.

There are some very negative reviews on here about these skis, but it looks like the ski carbides are different now, and the most in depth reviews are from 2013 and on an apex. So with my Dealer, it's risk free to try them.

I weigh 265ish with gear, but I carry a plumbed in fuel tank that holds 22l of fuel. I have allot going on as the fuel is always siphoned from the rear tank lol. I will be doing a few hundred km tomorrow and can let you know what I think of the skis, but I don't have a spring yet to give the full report.

We have different skis but look forward to hearing about the spring

I think you will find that you will have to try either snow trackers or your flavour of Dooley before you will be happy with the steering. I was chasing with the stiffness of my ski and center shock spring and could make it better, but then I would end up with too much body roll which isn't fun on tight off camber turns. The full keel is a double edge sword in my opinion, and I was tired of experimenting (mostly the cost of experimenting lol) for the year, which is why I grabbed different skis

I have c&a razor with sno trackers and spring from cannondale on my winder. They work really well with very light steering, I would highly recommend!
I had shapers prior and they were a handful, very heavy steering!

Try the new strike ski it might be a happy medium.
Tried all summer and fall to get a set. Still not available as a part now in mid January. Pulled the trigger in October on the C&A’s so that’s what I’ve got to work with. I don’t have endless amounts of money. I will try a different runner if the 7.5’s don’t do what I’m looking for. I’ve had great luck with woody dualy in the past

Aggressive or semi aggressive. I ran aggressive on my ‘13 apex I came from to the winder. They were the cats #*$&@ on that but it had EPS

I am running semi, but after getting some run time with them I would not be afraid to do the aggressives

Mohawk skis with Woody's Ace Runners totally transformed my sled, bites in all conditions, steering is not too heavy at all!!!

I ran the stealth skis this weekend for a couple hundred km. It was all open prairie riding, some field trail, some back country. I am fairly happy so far, i cannot side hill like i can with the CA xcs, the track pushes, but without a keel, the front end cant really hold a line and the front skis fall gradually sideways down the hill. The steering is light, confident and i get the feedback i need. In some fresh powder the stealth did ok, but i was missing the keel slightly here as well. I really want to see how the stealth do in the tight bush trails yet.....my spring still has not shown up

Winder_506, if you get your hands on some snowtrackers or doolies, let me know how you like them, i may switch back to CA (it is just so difficult to compare the snow conditions and even the style of riding between two people let alone different geography), but right now with the riding i do, the stealth seems to be a pretty good compromise for me.
