2003 rx1 jackshaft update
I was just riding my sled on the river when the bearing let go. Did not know Yamaha had a problem with this till I started researching what kind of a new bearing to install. I removed the old parts with out taking the chain case apart. Can I install the new bearing lock nut through the bearing holder with the jack shaft installed or is the nut too big? Is this a recommend up date by Yamaha or will a new bearing last another 3000 miles? Thanks for the great pictures and help. I also agree that Yamaha should of recalled these sled's. If this would of locked up in a slick corner on the river I could of wiped out real bad!
