2005 Manitoba TY Ride - Information Needed

A couple of questions for you local guys:

1. Trail Passes how much and how long are they good for?
2. I'll be coming across the border near South Junction via Roseau, I assume there's a border crossing there since the map shows a road LOL?
3. Anyone got a phone number for the Super 8

Here you go I think this info is still accurate the phone number will be for sure.

The ride will leave from the Beausejour super 8 at aprox 10 am each morning
(feb,24th toFeb.27th).I would like to have a brief meeting before each ride
just so everyone has some idea what to expect each day probably about 9:30
am.The number to book rooms at the super 8 is (1-204-268-9050) specify you
are with the yamaha ride. The 24th ride will go through the whiteshell
area,The 25th ride will go through bird lake area(probably the longest ride
of the weekend). The 26th will go onto the south end of lake winnipeg(weather
and ice permitting)The 27th events have not yet been set.I have a conference
room booked for the evenings of the 24th and 25th for group bs sessions. As of this date there are aprox. 30 confirmed riders.
Season trail permits will be $100.00 canadian and 7-day passes will be
$40.00 canadian.

Nope Just a Farmers Field ;)! .........Sorry Steve couldn't resist.

YOU WILL BE FINE, You could cross at PINEY too if it's not any trouble. Both crossings will take you right onto Hwy #12 and head North, cross over Hwy#1 but stay on Hwy#12 almost all the way up till you have to go east to Beausejour..........That's to the right Steve :D :D

Thanks Yamaha, any idea on the crossing? What kind of daily milage are we talking? sorry i'm getting excited LOL
Take I-94 up to Fargo and then I-29 up and across the border. Crossing at I-Falls and going around Lake of the Woods is the long way around. The route suggested by MapQuest is a decent route from Minneapolis and is the route that guys from Winnipeg take when coming down to Minneapolis. I am driving up from Minneapolis on Tuesday for some early riding. When are you driving up?

Suisse I'll be coming from my cabin just south of Bemidji plan on taking the whole week off so i'll still be there from the weekend. It's about 280 miles from there. If you want to come half way on Tuesday your welcome to crash at my place and we can leave from there same goes for anyone else coming this way just let me know ;)!

Oh yeah if you get here early enough the trails are awesome about 2 feet on the ground. Minimal traffic everyone else goes to the arrowhead

Convert, when you say weekend to weekend. Which weekends? We are going west to Brandon thru Wed March 2nd. :rocks:

19th - 27th Feb I think the whole family (grandparents and inlaws) are coming up for the weekend everyone but me will probably head back on the 21st unless i can convince the wife to come along. She has an RX1 but likes to take it slow so as of now she's shying away from the trip as she doesn't want to hold anyone back. How many wives are going and whats there riding style?

My wife is coming and Praire dogs wife is coming also. Both of them like to stay on trail and take it easy and enjoy the sights.

Convert tell your wife not to worry. The idea is for the group to move at a pace that is comfortable for everyone. All I want out of this ride is for everyone to be able to go home talking about what a great time they had riding Manitoba. That includes any rider that may be less experienced that wants to ride.......oh and maybe to make some of you rx guys suck up a little two stroke smoke just because you all bitch about how bad it smells now. :moon: :tg:
