This has been a 2yr on off project. Started with a bad speed sensor codes 42 & 84. They are cleared. There are no visible codes as now. All grding blocks checked. Clean no corrosion. Starter relay was cleaned and it looks good. Relays have been swaped around several times. Fuel pump was hot wired to stay on. Still sled starts tries to get 2000 rpm then dies. Will do this all day long. Any help would be appreciated. The sled was sitting in garage. Ran multiple times then this started?

Try dropping in some new plugs.

Fresh fuel?
Any gritters get into the airbox or exhaust and setup house?

No critters. Fresh non ethanol 91 gas. I would thinks plugs are OK because it fires up instantly revs to 1800 then shuts off.

I have had them fire and when it tries to idle it runs rough and dies. Maybe do a Facebook video or Youtube and post the link so we can hear exactly what it does. Hows the oil level? Is anything flashing? I had a sled that say to long with no oil in it and it lost its prime and it would not build oil pressure and would shut off as soon as it started.

I posted a video 2yrs ago cant seem to figure out how to repost it. Oil is full. Imagine starting ur sled starts perfectly all 4 cylinders then as it hits 1800 rpms u hit the kill switch. Im going to replace the starter relay solenoid. It was very corroded. And i cleaned everything up. It wouldnt even let it crank over. I had nothing. Im not sure if the fuel inj is pulling power from here. But this happened first before i got to this point where it starts revs up and and 1800 rpms it shuts off. I cant figure what power is being sent out from that 4 pin conector between the 2 fuses. I may not have a good connect at those 2 fuses if they power something.

It will display code 30 if it's shutting down due to low oil pressure but look into the oil tank with a light to observe oil circulation anyway. Make sure the oil suction screen in the tank is clear and oil suction hose isn't pinched, I have seen this restrict oil delivery too.

Did you really confirm there is no blockage in the exhaust?

Check return line to fuel tank. The fitting where line goes to tank is a check valve. Had one partially blocked one time and made sled run so Rich at idle it would quit.

Im thinking fuel too going to check pressure.. it ran before the start solenoid gave me a problem.

Well put new start solenoid in. It will stay running if u keep cranking it. Im confused on the 4 relays above left footwell. I have 3 unplugged and it still does same thing. I thought one was load and one was fuel injection. So i assumed 2 had to be in there to run. What is the one that has 5 plugs on it for.?

One relay is the fuel pump. The other two of the same type are the load relay and the fan relay. The last and 4th relay that is different than the other 3 is for the headlights (high\low beam).

Thanks guess ill test the fuel pressure next. Should be 45psi I think.

sounds like the ignition switch could be burnt out in the run position. seen it happen a few times on trucks and cars.

easy yest would be to disconnect the wire from the ignition on the solenoid, hold the key in the start postion and jump the solenoid to start it. if it keeps running while in the crank/start position, odds are that is the problem.
