2006 TY Manitoba Ride

MB rocks

First I want to thank everyone for the first-class camaraderie (a.k.a. yamaraderie). Finally Kallie could see what all the fuss was about. Despite the crater we crashed into, she had a really good time. Without fail, the group really made a difficult situation more bearable. ;)!

Many many thanks to Cindy and Carol for taking care of my sweetie. ;)!

And thank you to Brian and Margaret for hosting us again. Their licence plate says "Friendly Manitoba" and they mean it.

Tom, that brochure is primo. :4STroke:

Bounty... that duct tape looks just fine, I think you really don't need a new leather suit. :tg:

Convert... I noticed that it was impossible to shake you this year. I finally figured it out when I saw that rope hanging off my rear bumper. :tg:

Truly truly think you all all are great.

Kmer.

I am so ashamed I forgot to mention BVER FEVER for all the guiding and help he has done the last two years in making these rides such a treat! Sorry bud wont happen again!

Ah your still the Bigguy! Sasquatch don't count they are part animal!

It was another successful ride and I can't thank you all enough. While Brian told me "things are little ratty this year", I firmly believe he and Margaret did another outstanding job in organising this event. I just wish he worked for United Airlines as I had plane problems and just got home this morning.

Brian, hats off to you for your flexibility in allowing others to peel off from the group to log miles. You also did pretty well with the weather. 8)

Bver Fever, thanks again for taking Impalapower, BigGuy, and I for the 300 mile loop on Monday. Hopefully Dave has recovered and is now in the market for a Yamaha.

Impalapower, thanks for being my riding buddy and it was a blast riding the 1600 miles in 7 short days on some of the best trails in the world.

BigGuy, while you may be from Mars, your sense of humour is priceless.

Reaper, I expect next year that you will learn to keep pace with the rest of us and not fall so far behind. Great riding with you but man was it cold that evening. :flag:

Kmer, the reason Convert stayed with you this year is that you kept taking unplanned journeys into the bush. :tg:

Sasquatch, I still think that moose thought was scared of you when he went off into the woods.

Bluedog, next year you get a room away from mine as I don't need the wake call via pounding on the wall at 00:30, 02:30, and 06:30. :die

For those on the fence about doing one of these rides, they are a must. Simply put, the TY members are all class acts and there is not one bad apple in the bunch. It doesn't matter where they are from or what they do for a living, everyone is super and a real pleasure to meet. They will help each other out when problems arise. Only 51 weeks until we all meet again.

I will try to pick it up next year Swiss, maybe a little NOS will help me keep up. Thx for keeping an eye on my back to La Du Bonnet in case I flammed out :)

:D :D :D , TOO bad we never really got to meet, although I did see you a few years ago at Sedons Corner. You were backing two Blair Morgan Rev's out of that trailer you had, we were the Two RX1's & One Warrior Riding double next to you guys.

If you are going to ride with the BIG GUNS, you better be ready to SHAKE & BAKE :D :D ..........

.....I love riding with the BIG GUNS, Either alone or with Roesmary on the back ;)! It's always a FAST PACE and a LONG DAY ;)! ......BUT A BLAST ;)! 8)

Bring it on Bounty, I am up for the challenge.

Like everyone else - kudos to Brian and Margaret for hosting.

Even though I could only "come out and play" on Friday, Wilf, my father-in-law and I had a blast. (Our SRX's really enjoyed it too, even if I do have to get a new taillight).

I have already booked my vacation for this next year - even planning to stay in Beaseujour as well.

My wife was really jealous.

Really enjoyed meeting all. Best time I've had with my boots on!

I think Bounty should put matching stripes on the other leg of his pants with the duct tape - the pants will last forever then, plus the added safety of the silver tape! ;)!

See you all next year! :yam:
