I'm curious about the differences, so why not research them and list them for everyone accorind to Yamaha Canada's site:
Price: 2008 Model is $100 more (not good)
Colours: 2008 is offered in two instead of just one in 2007 (good but don't care)
Front Suspension Travel: .2 (yes, point two) inches more on 2008 (doesn't matter)
Rear Suspension Travel: 1 inch less on 2008 (why?)
Rear suspension travel measurements are flawed anyway, it has nothing to do with shock stroke, they just measure from the ground to the top of the rear of the tunnel...that stat is totally flawed
Dry Weight: Apparantly they don't want us to know that again this year...I wish they'd get over it.
Ski stance: Same...is it adjustable? LOL, if so I didn't know that...says 37.6" to 39.6" on both models
Track: Same...good, I do love the track
Fuel Capacity: 3.3 Litres LESS on 2008. I've complained that the 30L tank is too small to begin with! I can't think of one good reason to make the tanks that small, not even weight - I say let those who are worried about wet weight only fill their sleds up half way and give the rest of us the milage that we want! Just because a sled gets good mileage doesn't mean you should start making the fuel tanks smaller! I say make the seat depth thiner and add more fuel tank height under the seat!! This fuel tank change is the most disappointing feature for 2008 in my opinion.
Tunnel Pannels: Well, 2008 sleds get them standard...think that's the extra $100 in msrp???
All other stats the same according to Yamaha Canada.
What do you guys think?
No protection for the rad? That's crap, and they should cap that tunnel, not offer tunnel pannels. No hitch, no rack = no improvements!!
If anything the 2008 Mountain Lite is worse and more expensive for nothing!
