2007 Phazer, Engine cutting out?

My son just bought a 2007 Phazer Gt and on our first ride he had a problem with the engine cutting out for just 1 cecond then works fine. This happens every couple (15) seconds or so from time to time. He also said that the Green dash lite (drive) wouls also shut off when this happens. Its almost like the TORS kicks in for 1 second them it works fine. No error code. We used some gas line anti-freeze, new gas etc and the same thing from time to time. He rode it 400 mile like this with no other problems. I does seem to do it more while at a steady speed. I look for a bare wire maybe shorting out but couldn't find any. Any ideas on what this may be? any thoughts on where to look first?

If the Green light shuts-off when this happens, I would inspect the reverse. Maybe its getting out of gear.

have any handlebar risers on the machine that may be causing issue?

Is the main dash also going blank at same time the green light goes out?

Just the green light goes out.

When it cuts out does it act the same way as if you where you touch the throttle while changing gears but has not meshed? Or when you change gears and it keeps flashing because it is between gears?

My 08 did the same thing. Turned out it was the stater. Not the starter "stater". As it turns out it isnt very common problem with the phazer but it can happen. There was a wire harness update that the tech did while he had the machine open. Mine did not throw any codes until if died. good luck

I had the sled out and its for sure popping out of gear. without mt helmet on you can here it pop out. Now how do i fix it. is there some sort of linkage that needs to be adjusted? or is there a problem with the motor that changes the gear?
