I am hoping someone can help me out. I have a 2007 Phazer MTX with a mc xpress turbo kit. I broke down at the end of last season and put a new track on, put everything back together and ran into some TORS problems. Long story short found some broken wires fixed them had it running went for a short ride and then parked it.
Went to start it up this year and all it does is crank over and try to start (hits around 1000 rpm but won't start). So based on the wiring issues I had last year and finding some corrosion in all the ground juntions i put in a new main harness and the injector sub harness. Sled still wont start. Checked the coils with the self diag. functions and i can get sparks with #2 but even if I switch the #2 coil over to the #1 coil plug I get no spark. Everything I can seem to find looks like the coils are controlled directly from the ecm (#1 being the orange wire).
Is there anything else that could control the coils or anyway to test the output on the ecm?
So I repalced the ECM and now the sled starts. Now after the sled warms up to about 83 degrees C it drops the idle to about 1300 and dies. Once this happens the sled has no power once it get over half throttle or to the 8000 rpm mark. Had it to the dealer and they faulted the fuel pressure regulator and changed it out. Still nothing fixed. Now it runs great until it get completely up to temp. Anyone have any ideas where to go from here??
