Oh yeah! I just did a double take and realized it isn't a VEI. Did you make those running boards yourself or are they brand name. I would love to get a set of those.Haha thanks!......but that's my homemade tunnel extension you're refering to. I take that as a compliment :-D
I'm sure you'll feel happy with all the things you got going on already. I know the feeling when I see your pics

Made them myself. Very similar to skinz but they are integrated with the rear tunnel extension. Mig welded aluminum so ugly as hell but only 2mm thicknes on the pipes so way lighter than skinz.

Here are some rough sketches I made up for my under tunnel exhaust. I want to do something completely different. My plan is to use the muffler shown below which reverses direction and exits on the same side the exhaust entered the muffler. I planned on mounting the muffler at the back of the tunnel and using oval piping from the header to the muffler for extra clearance. Then just a 45* cut tip turned 45 * so exhaust will exit toward the bottom lip of the tunnel. I'm thinking having the muffler at the back of the tunnel will give it extra snow exposure to keep it cooled down and also hoping with it being mounted that far back that even if it did ice up it wouldn't cause clearance issues with the track and would also be easy to clean off. The muffler I'm using is a Dr. Gas Spinpro. I plan on cutting off the end of the header and repositioning it so it is on a level plane instead of angled. I will use the offset of the nytro header to my advantage so that i can mount the muffler centered but since the inlet and outlet are off centered I am hoping to match them up well. I will also have a plan to have detach points so the system can be removed for alteration or service. These Dr.Gas mufflers are built to last and very durable so I'm looking forward to working with it.
I am open to any ideas or criticism you have on the idea.

Got my seat in yesterday from TY member RED placed it on my sled just to look at it. Finally feels like I'm getting somewhere. Money flow is dead at the moment with my hernia surgery and wedding that just happened.

Decided to simplify my exhaust design. Im planning on using the rear cross brace as a point to attach the muffler.
I have felt that I have also narrowed it down to these two muffler cases

Odd to see the seat in Maine now, as it was just in Alberta. Sorry that the shipping cost more than the seat, glad it got there undamaged. Congrats on the wedding, cheers.

Took the rear cross brace off and preparing to grind the welds off the exhaust mounts.
almost there
Mounts all off
Cleaned off the welds
Something like this is my plan. Only I will probably get some flat pieces of steel and weld metal lock nuts to the flat bar. Then weld it onto this cross brace in the respective position to make it possible to mate up with the fabricated mounts on the muffler once I get that far.
This picture is before I did anything showing these mounts sticking up higher then the tunnel, but now they are gone and won't be a issue for the tunnel block off.

As you can see I just messed around and made a cardboard template. The tunnel block off plate will mate right up against the taller piece of tunnel in the back.
The tunnel block off will go the length of the tunnel and almost meet up with the edge of the gas tank
As you see here the piece will be the whole length. It will be the same thickness as the raised piece of tunnel at the back. That way It will have a nice seamless look the whole length.
Set the seat there just to get an idea of how it would look.
I am planning to remove every rivet on the top of the tunnel and then placing the sheet on the tunnel and replacing all the rivets that were stock and also adding rivets to secure the block off. That way it will be totally integrated into the tunnel, which will hopefully improve it structurally. Then eventually will plan a way to block off the holes on the back half that way they are also seamless. I may have strips made that will have raised pieces of aluminum tack welded to it that way when I rivet it to the tunnel the raised pieces will fill the holes.

Looks great! Hope the hernia is healing, that was brutal and I still am numb in spots and its been a year for me. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.
As for spintech i looked at them but they are heavy and I heard some on sleds and they sounded horrible. I like the configurations they offer but everyone I was looking at was 14-16lbs. A borla was much lighter (~6lbs). I always wanted to dabble with aluminum mufflers from vibrant ~3lbs and seem to work well. In the tunnel I wouldn't worry about melting/deformation issues. Good luck!

Looking for thin case mufflers but if the muffler is that far back it probably wont matter
