2010 Apex fails to start

Code 20 now cleared, Vent line came off. all good no codes, can't repeat the issue wiggling wires. time will tell. some snow here tomorrow take hear around the yard and see if anything returns! Thanks 74 You have taught me a lot!

Found the issue! so unbolted the headlight windy and gage assembly, set it to the side ( still plugged in), turned key to on position, no codes. stated moving individual wires from TPS into blue cluster, bang codes appear! turned switch off cut wires trimmed and splice back together. turn switch back on all codes clear. wiggled blk/bl wire into its cluster and codes come back also. cut and spiced bl/blk wires together, turned key back on, all clear wiggled and pressed everywhere in that section of harness, no codes. Put all back together started and went for a 5 mile ride all good!
Reading those wires all ckts read good with resistance but just woudn't pass the right voltage from time to time! Just my 2 cents. I learned alot about the self diagnostic modes of the sled ! Thanks Nitro 74, you were a huge help! I owe you a beer

Nice, there's those black/blues I wanted you to find!

I snapped a pic a few days ago, but forgot to post.
Thanks Bob, lots of practice...lol

Splice packs in an outdoor environment......shake my head. Soooo stupid Yamaha.

Yes, they used to join wires inside the harness. At least use sealed connectors if they want to do it this way. Must be more cost-cutting that led to this....

Hows conditions in your area?
It’s like they think every sled is transported in an enclosure, and lives it’s life in a heated shop. I shudder every time a see a sled being moved on an open trailer. Lol
I’ll PM you about conditions up my way.

Tried to start the old girl last week and here's what happened. (2010 Apex)
Kill switch on, turn key to run, Fuel pump turns on then shuts off, turn key to start position, starter rotates and fails to run...... Tried again same deal. Noticed gages went out while starter turning then comes back on when starter released.( never noticed this before) Put battery tender on and left for a couple hours. Returned to find same issue. Yesterday pulled sled out of the trailer and into garage. removed all panels, headlight etc to check electrical connections, all seem good. opened main wire harness to check ground clusters they look to be nice shape..... All read to ground. Never smell any fuel during attempted start. Battery before load reads 13.2 volts. I am now thinking that the starter could be drawing to many volts causing the voltage to drop below run voltage? Maybe why the dash goes out? No fault codes have been displayed. I have also checked all fuses.... I have the red relays that I updated last season..... I am going to get a better battery booster today and increase the amp output. This sled has over 17,000 miles and has the original starter. Please give me some more ideas?

How much fuel is in the sled? Last season I went to take my sled out of the barn with little fuel in it and she would not start. It had some fuel in it, maybe a gallon. I dumped a few more gallons of fuel in it and it started right up. I did not have any problems the rest of the season.
