Hi guys, i am interested in one of these kits. if you dont get good fuel how does it protect itself?? Also how do i know the mapping from MC is good for my area,elevation and temp. ?? Thanks

You need good fuel period, 93 octane is preferable. If not you will have to run Torco octane booster or a Water/Meth-kit to avoid detonation.
MCX kits have altitude, temp and pressure compensation built in. The base maps can allways be optimized but they run great for the most part. I would not worry too much about it. The MCX computers are programmable; both fuel and boost pressure can be adjusted with the addition of the MCX Display Unit.

Thanks rxrider. That is as long as MC has the map fairly close for -30C weather etc elevation 500ft. This is what im concerened about. Want this to be a reliable trail, lake sled. Thanks for the input. What does it adjust boost,timing, senses detonation??

Adjusts boost and fuel, not detonation detection except for what's in your sled already. To my knowledge the 2011-2012 Apex's have knock detection and deto avoidance built in.

for an 07 i would suggest the midmount kit a bit more work but quieter than rear
