2012 Apex SE vs 2011 Apex SE

I was also told the 12's have their wheels moved down 1.5 mm in an effort to help slide wear. Other than that and your list above I think that's about it. The head mechanic at my dealer said they didn't even have a one day update course for them this year because they changed so little.

the only thing i was told was there was a change on the keel of the ski. Its funny how everybody hears different things from reps and dealers. I would be curious of the gear change also

The skis are confirmed - I read a lengthy article in one of the snowmobile magazines recently that identified the change with positve results relative to darting. I just tried to find the magazine but couldn't locate it - sorry. It might have been a dual keel style and the Yamaha ski code was 3 letters, and they reference the code change in the article.

On page 32 of my American Snowmobiler mag, Vol. 26 Issue 1, also the October issue, they claim the only change to 2012 is the ski. It is now called the 8HV trail ski. They say it just changes the mounting point and a slightly different keel design.

Also on pages 58 and 59 of American Snowmobiler November 2011 issue has a nice write-up of the new ski on a RS Vector.

I believe the only change, the only thing listed in the new manual, is the movement of the mounting hole 15mm forward on the ski. On the XTX the wheels mounts were moved down 1.5mm.
